Well, first pass reduction wasn't all that good. I have found the angle pretty well and the shave is comfortable. My neck felt like it hadn't been shaved after the first pass! It was really odd. I went back and lathered again and completed a second pass. Much better reduction then but still not to the closeness I can get with two quick passes with the G1 or single edge.

I may try to swap out the blade again tomorrow just to see if that's the culprit.

It's an interesting razor and I really appreciate the opportunity to try it out. I'll keep at it a few more shaves to see if improvement can be made.

I'd second the motion to try a different blade. I've always used a Personna in mine and get fantastic reduction. Then again, these things tend to be personal as we know...

I only have Chicks. I tried a Personna in my G1 a while back and had a TERRIBLE shave. You're right - YMMV! I'll put in a new Chick and see what happens.

Switched out the blade for a new one and got a much better shave. Loading the blade in this razor is a little odd. It doesn't want to push all the way across. As soon as the old blade drops out the new one goes askew and doesn't line up properly. I've never had that happen before. I can finagle it to go in and fit correctly but I think I messed with the edge on the previous blade in those machinations and caused some problems.

Nice shave today overall though. I'll use it a few more times and then send it on to the next participant. Have a great day!

I'm glad a new blade worked for you. I'm trying to recall if I had the blade loading issue you are referring to with this razor. I had it happen once with my PAL adjustable. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can offer a solution.

It's a strange thing. I've never had that happen in any injectable before. It goes in correctly but about 3/4 of the way in it goes off path and almost falls out. I flipped the angle this morning and injected the new blade vertically but it still did it. Strange.

Getting more and more comfortable with the Schick H! Today's shave was good but perhaps a notch behind yesterday. I needed more touch-up than most shaves, but that's okay. I'm still getting used to the H. It's very efficient and smooth. I enjoy it and could use it as my daily driver if I didn't have a G1. Finding the angle has been fairly easy. I'll also chip in that the trouble areas of my neck (right beside Adam's apple on lower right) is smoother than normal the past couple of days.

Nice shave this morning. I'm getting better and better with the H. My upper lip is more smooth each day. I'm really surprised at how smooth my neck is after just one pass with clean-up. The trouble areas there are pesky but have been irritation-free and nice and smooth with the H.

Final shave with the Hussy!

Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Clubman Musk, Nivea sensitive balm

Fantastic shave this morning. I should use Arko more often. Loads of lather from my homemade shave stick. I used plenty of water during application and during face lathering with the Vulfix brush. Arko needs lots of water anyway and I tend to not use enough when using shave sticks. But I had plenty of beautiful, slick lather.

Then the Schick H went to work. Two passes and I'm very smooth.

Final thoughts and impressions: I had two rough shaves when first using this razor but then changed out the blade and had a string of good to great shaves. With more time and confidence the H razor could be my daily driver. It's just as effective and efficient as my G1. It's a little awkward to use at first but that goes away (at least for me).

Loading the blade was a little bit of an issue. The new blade would pivot in the slot once the old blade ejected. It was strange. I finagled it into place and it was all okay in the end.

My neck and the trouble areas there have been quite smooth this past week. The H just worked really well in that area. That has been quite a realization in that I am certainly capable of a smooth area there without irritation. This razor proves it. So I need to work on technique with my others to replicate that.

Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my spin with the H razor. It will go to @old-school shaver next. I plan to send it off at some point today.

Tonight was a 2pass shave routine with TouchUp .
Right side of the face was shaved with the type H injector the left side of the face was shaved with the Bunny V3 Injector. Both razors were loaded with new chick blades to make things equal. The bunny was sporting the notso comb. First pass on left side with the bunny was simply amazing the angle was easy to find and hold and stubble reduction was great. The first pass on right side with the type H was a little tougher I had a little problem finding and holding the anglke stubble reduction was spotty at best. Second pass was pretty much the same. Cleanup was done completely with the bunny. It feels like I have a little irritation from the H but not alot. This is the first time using the Route 66 Twisted Tweed shave soap. It seemed like it preformed flawlessly. Tonights round goes to the V3 Bunny .

I'm curious on the status of this razor. Is it still being used?

Yes I've had trouble get on and posting this week.
I need the address of who's next in line for the H I will get it in the mail tomorrow or Friday .

Sad to say but I have used the H 3 times and I must say it is not for me. I agree with @Robyflexx I hate the H. I had trouble keeping the correct angle nevert did get a very enjoyable shave from her. So needless to say I'm not going to run out and buy the H. Sorry the H is not for me.

That's too bad. Too bad for Roby, too. I found the H to be one of the most easy to use injectors. Maybe it's because I used the Bunny first with a similar head design. I struggle with regular injectors. But, to each his own, right? At least you gave it a shot. Better to try something new than never too try anything at all.
