Thanks. Are the old Pal carbon blades (Hollow Ground, Premium Edge) worth taking a chance on? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
No go with the Chinese Schick blades. You can purchase them online. They will be your best bet to start with. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Away for Couple of Days. Second trip away, using the PAL Injecto Matic teamed up with Speick Cream . Now a firm favourite, and addition of inexpensive quick drying Brush is a good choice.
What's the typical numbers of shaves y'all get from the Chinese blades? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I get 6 great shaves. Then I chuck them. I always do a 3 pass shave. I like the blades sharp. People get more from them though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Those blades have a love them or hate them camp around here. I'm in the latter. They made a great razor suck for me when I first tried injectors. Thank goodness for other offerings! YMMV......
I easily get 6 comfortable shaves out of the Chinese Schick/ Chick blades. I'm going for shave #7 tomorrow morning on the one in my Personna adjustable razor.
Well, wouldn't it be cool if I had a Personna adjustable? It would be a one of a kind! Imagine what that baby would go for on eBay!
What is the general consensus on artist club blades? First one I tried in the mongoose was a feather pro and it has been great. But what are your opinions on kai blades and the other feathers like the pro supers? I have a small sample of a few kinds so I'll eventually form my own opinion, just curious as to what you all think Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
IMO Kai Captain Milds are the least aggressive and Feather Pro Supers are the most aggressive of the Artist Club style blades. Kai Captain Sharp blades (which are somewhat hard to find) are halfway between the Feather Pros and the Feather Pro Supers in aggressiveness. I have not tried the regular (neither Mild nor Sharp) Kai Captain blades, so on those I have no opinion. I have a package of Kai Captain Sharp Blades with 1 blade missing (19), that I would gladly trade for a package of Feather Pro Supers, if anyone is interested.
