Final thoughts: a good razor that I think could be great with some more time to get used to. My biggest problem is the handle when I flip to make an upwards pass. The PAL adjustable is a fantastic razor and is so efficient that it doesn't need a twin blade. @Robyflexx can confirm that. This razor is awesome and will give you the smoothest and closest shaves you've ever had!
This morning was shave#7 with a Chinese Schick in the PAL adjustable and it's just beginning to show signs that it's time to replace the blade. I'll go for shave #8 tomorrow.
Totally agree. If the Schick Adjustable didn't take twins it wouldn't be in the same league as the PAL Adjustable (IMHO.) The PAL doesn't need them. It's already that good.

Well, tracking said delivery on Saturday, but the PAL was in my mailbox this evening. I have it in hand safe and sound. I'll use it bright and early in the morning along with Mitchell's Wool Fat for Fat Friday!

SOTD August 26, 2016 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: PAL Adjustable Brush: Omega 10049 boar Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Barbasol Pacific Rush, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, XTG Fat Friday! Nice shave with the PAL Adjustable for the first try. The razor is a beauty with sleek lines and nice heft. Loading the new blade was no trouble at all. I feel like I did pretty well with the angle, but first pass reduction was not that good. Part of that is probably the setting I chose - which was one above L. I'll bump it to the middle notch for the next shave. Second pass helped with reduction but I'm not as smooth as normal with a two pass injector shave. Unfamiliarity with the razor and the mild setting are most likely to blame for that. The next shave will be better! I had a similar experience with the Schick H and ended up getting amazing shaves from it after some practice. My lather from Mitchell's Wool Fat wasn't as stellar as usual. Not sure of the culprit there, but that may have contributed to the poor reduction on pass one. Overall I'm pretty smooth other than the point of my chin and a couple of spots on my neck. Overall I love the look and feel of the PAL and look forward to some more shaves. Thanks @Karl G for the opportunity to try it out!
