1. Oh Canada!!!

Wowwwwwwww, is this Polar Vortex soap from Barrie, Ontario ever good - lots of rich, frigid lather which feels so good on a hot, humid morning and gives very good blade glide. The Lucky Tiger/Rubby Dubby Doo combination gave me an excellent and icy jolt afterwards. Except for a very small weeper near my lower lip which healed with a cold water rinse, this shave was perfect! :happy088: :happy088:

Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Scots Pine Sheep
    Soap: Reef Point-Peerless
    Razor: Gillette NEW Long Comb
    Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (1)
    Brush: Elite Razor Silvertip-24mmx50mm

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Reef Point Peerless today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Razor Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Perma-Sharp Super in the NEW LC. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Reef Point Submariner aftershave.

  5. does it say "shock and awe" on the shaving soap, too?
  6. Excellent setup Mark, love the new brush!
  7. A little Osage helps me cool down after a morning work out. This Aqua Velva Ice Blue/Musk mix I have tried lately is great, too.

A wonderful last shave with the Shake Sharp before I rotate it out. There is a noticeable difference between shave #1 and #2 per edge on the blade. This mornings shave was the first on the second edge and resulted in a fabulous BBS finish.

  11. Where can one get it? If it's good enough for Roby it's good enough for me.. That's what I always say .:eatdrink047:

  12. My SOTD

    Razor - Gillette single ring
    Blade - Rockwell
    Brush - reknotted klenzo
Soap - arko mixed with yardley
Post - witch hazel / neutrogena
    A/s - lilac veg

Shave was weird. The first time I'm using Rockwell blades. I don't know what the deal is with this blade but damn it felt like I grabbed a dirt rake and shaved with it. The blade was not smooth at all. But I tell you what , very little irritation , a couple of weepers, and this camper is smooth as silk. I didn't have to chase anything. Bbs smooth ALLLLLL OVER. Unfortunately I'm not using it again. It was not comfortable..

    Happy shaving gents!
  13. I'm going to have to try a Osage Rub/Aqua Velva combo. I really like the Osage/Florida Water combo. Osage makes everything better

    A/S: Gillette Gel/Brut Splash On

A pleasure to use the only razor that cleans the stubble under my chin(I`ve tried almost all I own, if not all). Feeling under my chin right now, they`re GONE! Two passes, 1st XTG/ATG/WTG, while shaving around a band aid on my neck. The 2nd pass WTG/XTG and slants where needed. All strokes were smooth like silk. Bunny set on "mild", thinking I may try "not so" tomorrow. Boy, just wait until I load the Gillette Twinjector(2 edges). I`m thinking somewhere near Dolphin smooth everywhere, except around the band aid today. Wishing perfect shaves for all.

I found a Stahly yesterday. Sadly it doesn't work like new. First pass felt aggressive but not efficient. Second pass cleaned up to my normal results. I've seen a lot of people love this head but hate the handle. I'll try again with one of my other handles another day.

Razor: Long Feng DE (this thing cost 2 bucks!! It included a case and razor blade as well...how could I "not" try this?
Razor blade: Toajan. I have never heard of it before, but it came with the razor.
    Bowl: Edwin Jagger brushed nickel
    Brush: Stirling Soaps "kong" synthetic
    Soap: Penhaligon's endymion
    Aftershave: Lucky Tiger

I would have a pic, but it's telling me the file is too big.

Ok, at least here is a pic of the razor. Did I mention...this cost just $2??
  17. I honestly put some Osage Rub on almost every shave, I just don't usually list it. I use it on my face, scalp, and chest. I find it seems to get my skin prepped for the PSB I use, as it seems to absorb much more quickly when I use a little Osage before. The scent dissipates before I put on my final AS splash. It is great stuff, and the cooling effects are much appreciated during these SE Texas summers.

  18. I find that the medicinal scent dissipates rather quickly but the wonderful powder scents lasts a good amount of time. It truly goes with everything and I agree with you about it's cooling effect. I may start using it with everything too.
