@Douglas Carey - if the polls made sense, it wouldn't make sense! That's good @Bama Samurai, I thought it was me for a second. Okay, it could have been me!
SEtember Focus Arko & TBS Synthetic brush B-V3.1 & Chick blade Alum, Osage Rub & Canoe Arko, humm, yup. Synthetic brush? Yes, Sir. Bunny? Why, thank you Tom! Good lather, Priceless razor, fun combo AS. I may have violated the $10 aftershave rule. It was a gift so I don't know how much it runs. One tiny nick that stopped leaking before the alum. CCS because I know The Bunny can bite. As I was finishing up, The Postman passed by and delivered @twhite 's Adjustable Schick Pass Around. I know what's on deck for tomorrows shave.
Thank you for the response. It sounds like a fantastic razor. I know I really like using my Gem Razors.
Nice choice of razor for a 30-Day Rule. I've had 2 - 3 weeks of shaves with my New OC LC. My last shave was about a year ago during OC OCtober 2015. It became my favorite DE at that point. Your post makes me look forward to this OCtober where I'll revisit the LC and hopefully reaffirm it as a fave. Enjoy your time with it!
SEptember 1, 2016 My first shave of SE SEptember and I’m starting with what I believe is a 1912 Gem Junior that I found for $5 a year ago at a local antique shop. I expect to have a week of shaves with it. 2-pass shave (WTG, ATG) GEM PFTE blade. Oh my, talk about feedback! The jazz band leader had everyone take five while the bass man took over on this one. It's like the individual plucking on the strings - bong, bong, bong - as each whisker is sent into orbit. Yet with a sharp blade it's a smooth experience. With the right angle it is an enjoyable shave and close as well. It will take time to get the blade angle exactly right in order to perform ATG on my chin, but using an exaggerated “ride the cap” in that area may be the ticket. I’ll enjoy experimenting with this one. Cheers! RT
Hello Gents. I would like to join the September Shenanigans if I may. I will be using straights with the occasional Gem Junior SE (if restricted on time) My brush will be a vintage restore named 'skunkworks' with the new tuxedo synthetic knot. My soap of choice will be MdC fougere. I look forward to the laughs and will help whenever possible.
Razor: AlumiGoose in Black. V1. Blade: Feather Professional (1) Brush: Shavemac Zebra, Honeycomb 2 Band Badger Soap: Jeeves Soap Turkish Bath Aftershave: Aqua Velva Hello one and all. Thank you for letter me join you after a months absence. I'm back to enjoy the SEptember festival. I look forward to reading your posts and participating in my SE focus. Off to a great start with the AlumiGoose along with a new shave brush. The brush performed outstanding right out of the box. It whipped up a great lather ad the AlumiGoose cut down the stubble in no time at all. I don't have many drug store aftershaves, but I do have Aqua Velva. I was difficult catching the hummingbirds in the photo tonight. They where fighting off a Downey Woodpecker at the feeding station this evening. There is one in flight just to the right in the picture.
PIF Bomb! Check it out >>HERE<<! Open only to Canadians! This razor belongs north of the border. Just let me know if you're interested. Winner will be announced in 2 weeks.
Well I hope you enjoyed your visit, but I want it to reside up north, because it was made in Canada. And to be honest, most PIF's exclude those guys.
