Yeah I'm pretty stoked to have landed one.

Picked up 20 Wilkinson Light Brigade blades for $15 as I've been curious to try them out.

 

I have been led to believe that a certain resident of Canadia is going to send me some mystery wood to use for brush handles. So, I expect to be surprised one day soon.

 

Waiting on these two items.!

 

Cool score on the PAL adjustable. It is a real nice shave once you master it.

I had to see what all the fuss is about. For $20 I couldn't pass it up.

I had a question. With the injectors do we shave with the head against the face or with a slight angle closer to de shaving?

With the injectors i find each one slightly different. Start with the head flush. Then while you are shaving lower the handle very slightly. It will become VERY obvious when you have the angle for you. Then it is a matter of keeping it.

Thanks gents. I think with the repeating schick I had too much of an angle. I'll keep that in mind with tomorrow's shave when I'll use it again

 

I find my B and C's i get a better shave by dropping slightly. All the others except for the PAL adjustable, head to face works great.

Waiting for some Shave Den sandelwood soap and aftershave.

 

I also have some lapping film and dovo red paste coming so I can bring the Rolls to the next level.

Picked up two things this weekend;

1) An old Simpson brush catalog outlining the handle shapes they made back when this was printed.
It's about 30 pages and if anyone is interested I could scan/photograph the booklet and post it


2) A vintage Plisson brush
I always 'worry' when I win with the only bid on an item..
This one I bid $29 on and that ended up getting it.
It could be horn but not 100% until I get it. We shall see.
Will also be interesting to see how the knot takes to some cleaning and straightening out. Could work.

 

You find the most interesting things. It's almost as if you have a honey hole that you keep going back to.
