  1. I don't run out of lather
  2. Thank you very much! The brush was gifted to me by a friend and fellow wet-shaving enthusiast hailing from New Zealand. Coupled with the fact that I love the performance of the brush makes that much more special.
  3. That is a beautiful photo and I love that brush.
  4. What an awesome photo. I keep coming back to it just to admire the beautiful wood and woodworking.

  6. Shave 17. Last week I won a nicely restored 6/8 Wade & Butcher. It came to the house today and I had a nice 3 day beard to offer it. I was impressed. Smooth, easy to work with, no blood (a treat) and good reduction. The end result was up there with my best straight shaves to date. I really like it. :happy036:

It's been almost two years since I've used this Fume Lavender soap. It's from Turkey, and really nice stuff if I remember correctly. The Snake Bite will give me a great menthol fix after my shave! ;) :D

  8. SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160912_200142.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real Oakmoss
    Razor: Schick Injector
    Blade: Schick
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: L&L Grooming Harmony
Post: L&L Grooming Cuir Et Espices aftershave

This has been my 3rd consecutive shave with my first injector. Thank you @Mormon Bridge and @DaltonGang for the awesome PIF! The razor is much smoother than I thought, all 3 shaves have been great and without incodent. No irritation or redness. The L&L soap has a nice incense scent, it takes some time to work the lather to shave quality, but overall it's a decent soap that's almost a cream in texture. Got a smooth shave, finished off with L&L Spices aftershave for a nice menthol blast. Hope everyone had a great shave!
  9. Not too late to post my pictureless Shave O' the Day.
    C.O. Bigelow Cream
Simpson CH1 Two-Band Super Badger (Baby, talk about a luxurious brush. If I could get this in a CH2...)
    1940-something Gillette Parat
    Feather (2)
Floïd Mentolado Vigoroso (Menthol + Powder = yummy)
    Take care my friends.

  11. Thanks, Doug. :)

    Lovely photo, gentlemen! :happy088:
  12. Thank you for your kind words. However, the artisans who made the brush handle and the larger wooden soap dish deserve all the credi. :)

    Tuesday's
    zcws.gif

    Dove Men Face Wash
    TSD Iced Lime
    Jayaruh #100
    Bunny V-3
    Personna Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    T.N. Dickinson's WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The TSD Iced Lime Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #100 two-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V-3 razor with a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Razors:
    Ontario cutlery company straight
    Rolls razor
    Schick G1

    Tabac
    Stirling 24mm synthetic
Lime AS and Nivea sensitive ASB

Yes, I actually did use 3 razors for tonight's shave. I took my fist baby steps with a straight, my Ontario Cutlery CO. I did the flats of my cheeks and part of my neck. And while it did cut whiskers it still needs to be a tad sharper.

After those areas I finished the pass with the rolls razor, just like with the rapid it did ok on the easy areas but ready sucked with the though whiskers on my chin.I did another pass with the Rolls but discovered that it really wasn't close enough.

Final pass with the G1 to clean things up and I'm happy with a nice DFS. Time to get some more practice honing to learn to get those edges a bit sharper. Have a nice night my friends!

  15. Thanks Doug,
I happened to stumble across the Cobra on another site and was lucky enough to be the first to say "i'll take it".
  16. It is a wonderful shaver. The Mongoose has been one of my favorites but the Cobra just feels better balanced in my opinion.
  17. Thanks Guy, glad to be back. I have to get busy and start taking photo's again.....:D
