  7. Bill, I had a dentist appointment today. Great staff there, but the best "employee" is the dentist's dog, who is there to "check" on patients from time to time. A Boxer named Rudi....always a thrill to see him!
  8. Here it is for Thursday's shave:

    prep-Nivea 4 Men COOL Bodywash(in shower)
    shave-Rise Super Foam Regular
    razor-Gillette Sensor 2 Pivot + DisposeABLE
A.S.-Wind Drift by English Leather(via MEM)

my aforementioned dentist appointment(in my reply to Bill's lineup), cost me a bit more than usual-as they did some X-rays, in addition to the cleaning, so I'm going to have to sit on what I have shave-wise for a while. Not that bad of a situation, as I think about it. Come November, I'll celebrate my "half-birthday" by making a purchase to get ready for the cold weather.

  13. SOTD - 14 September 2016

    Have a nice evening!
  14. The balm is for after the shave. Right now I am using True Grit, a coffee exfoliating soap followed by the Pre Shave Oil. Pretty much the same routine every morning. Since I switched to this routine, pretty much guaranteed two pass, irritation free, no cut shaves every morning.
  15. Merkur 1904 open comb razor
    generic DE blade
Maggards 24mm marble handle synthetic brush
    Nivea Sensitive shaving cream

  16. Razor: Valet Auto Strop w/ Bakelite case, 1 blade bank, strop, and blades. Model C 1935-1940 Made in Montreal.
    Blade: Valet (Strop)
Brush: WDC-8 Brass Handle TGN Finest
Soap: Route 66 Sea & Citrus
    Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso

Very good shave this evening. Looking forward to using my Ever-Ready 1914 tomorrow with the new Gem by Personna PTFE blades.

  17. Shave 18. Maiden shave with this razor. It's a stunner. :happy036:

It's the first wedge I've ever used and I have some learning to do. After four passes I got a good result but I'm guessing the wedge requires some subtle changes in technique that I have't figured out yet. Despite needing four passes to get a good result there was minimal feedback from the Alum. I was expecting more given the repeated strokes. Very smooth but I haven't unlocked the secret to efficient stubble reduction. :signs002:

    AOS Lavender PSO
    Haslinger Aloe Vera Shave Soap
    T&H Wellington Super Badger
    W. Greaves & Sons 7/8 Wedge
