106 or as I call it, Bee Bee. If it's going on the Bay or adoption around the other prices let me know and I'll save you a step.
#106 & #109 catch my eye the most. The contrast of the top and bottom colors of the knot are accentuated by the color bands in the stacked woods of these handles. Especially the #106!
I love 104 (it would make any knot look good.) 107 looks pretty good too. But you nailed it with this one. Don
And the winner is #104. I have set the knot with silicone, and tomorrow or Friday, I will do a test lathering with it to get it to bloom. Thanks to all for your input. There were three good contenders, but I am happy with my choice.
Just in case anyone is interested. I contacted @Jayaruh about a custom brush just for me I ended up picking his JR94 handle, but wanted something special in the line of a badger knot. He gave me several options and after describing what I was looking for as my "go to" badger, we decided on the Whipped Dog high mountain badger. Once I received this brush, I was not only very impressed with the craftsmanship, but the knot is amazing. On first use, I used a quality soap and loaded the brush. It made enough lather for 5 or 6 passes. Today, I used it again with a standard Proraso red soap. I was in a rush this morning and loaded it for about 30 seconds and whipped up some foam for about another 45 seconds. You can see the results. More than enough for 3 passes. I say this brush is probably one of the best values that I have come across and it is completely custom. There will never be another just like it. If you have the opportunity to adopt one of these babies, you won't be disappointed.
