  3. I thought you would like the Rive Gauche. Just waiting for the weather to cool off some more so I can break out the Korous.

  6. The shave is an homage to my friend @Robyflexx and his 10,000 posts, everything about this shave was big. First a huge splash bottle of vintage Kouros, damn the weather. They can smell coming a block away and I will smell great for a week.

The brush is Simpson Polo 12, it is just huge. They must have mad this brush with Andre the Giant in mind.

This Koraat is a 7/8 with a 1/4 heavy and big.

  7. Alright Keith! Beautiful photo and gear. I must order some Kouros soon it's been too long. :happy088:
  8. Tonights shave isn't a rare, or expensive work of art. It is a razor that has been much maligned by many. It is one of the less expensive modern razors made, and can be bought new for between $5 and $12. I have also heard from some that the steel is quite good. Two differing opinions. But, I took the time to find out for myself. I have taken the time honing this one, and with the Welsh Slate stones, it was a breeze. The edge is very very sharp, and can take the fingerprint off a thumb, in a fraction of a second, don't ask me how I know(no blood or pain).
So, the shave went very well. A three pass shave, that ended up BBS, without any difficulties on my chin, and no nicks, cuts, or weepers.
Excellent razor. I will keep this one in constant rotation.

    Razors- Gold Dollar 300
    PfeilRing Inox Solingen(mustache razor)
Brush- unknown Vintage Boar Hair. Its a small little lather monster.
Soap- Col. Conk Almond. Very slick, lathers easy, and inexpensive. Smells good too.
    Aftershave- Vintage Shultons Old Spice.

Same exact setup as yesterday. I went back to 5 micron and went down from there. Then
Re-stropped taking special care. I saw a definite improvement on finish thru my loop.

I did 2 passes and had better results than last nights 3 pass. I gave myself a nice nick tonight with my off hand. Other than that another decent shave.

    Tru-Edge Deluxe 5/8 full hollow spike 20160921_081604_resized.jpg
The Tru-edge is a straight foward no nonsense whisker assassin. The edge is sharp as all get out. The blade actually feels heavier than it appears. My only complaint, the pivot is a touch loose.
