Wednesday Shave Brush- AOS Fine Badger Razor- PAL Adjustable / Schick E3 Blade- Chinese Schick Soap- Stirling Ozark Mountain Post Care- Crystal Alum Thayers Witch Hazel Bombed Aqua Velva Second round of the injector shave off. This round was the Schick E3 vs the PAL adjustable. I used the PAL on my right side and the Schick on the left. I grabbed my Stirling Ozark Mountain which smells great, is easy to lather and protects wonderfully. I truly like the weight of the PAL but the Schick is more maneuverable. Three passes and I was BBS everywhere. Again I was trusting the alum to decide the winner alas both sides there was a slight tickle on my upper lip but everywhere else was silent. It's now been 9 hours since I shaved and we have the winner. I'm very closely shaven on the Schick side, closer on the PAL. The PAL adjustable wins the first round. I also lucked into a wonderful combination with the Ozark Mountain/Aqua Velva combo. Very complimentary to each other. Have a great day folks!
I haven't posted lately as I've been on a straight razor focus. But, tonight I got to break out my blue neck PAL Injecto Matic. I had a lovely shave with a straight this morning and the shave was holding up really well. Trouble is I am flying out early in the AM to meet a client across the country and don't want to take the time to shave while running to get to the airport. This is where the PAL IM, the Schick H, and the Bunny excel - a close shave you can rely on to be socially acceptable for at least 18 hours. So I did a one pass ATG to get everything dolphin smooth before hitting the hay. Can I just say, "Wow"? Super easy and quick. And the Castle Forbes outdid itself with a great fragrance and an unbelievably easy and excellent face lather. It came up to perfection in no time at all. Maybe my lathering skills have been improving while I wan't watching? I'll be looking good tomorrow and no doubt rubbing my face while driving in the darkness to the airport tomorrow AM. Thu. 9/22/16 Excellent shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic today. Wonderful lather from my Haslinger Coconut shave stick. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth end result. Have a great day friends.

OMG!!! Citrus!!!! Love this scent. I was totally amazed at how fast I had lather building on the brush. About 5-7 circles around the tin and I had lather building. I could have probably taken that to a bowl and built enough lather from there. I did have to keep adding water though. It seemed to keep thickening and wanting more. I believe this soap will last me a while but that's GOOD. Love the SlĂ inte. Also, the aftershave... Very cool. Very citrus. Like squeezing a fresh orange/lemon/lime on my face and inhaling.... Did I mention it's very coooool...
Well this was kind of heartbreaking. Having set aside my DEs for a while I decided to face off the Injectomatic vs. my favorite DE blade wielding razor, my Shake Sharp (with Permasharp). It didn't take long to establish the PAL as the superior shaver in every way. So ridiculously smooth and efficient (NOS Schick Super Stainless) in comparison. Sigh. Long live the King. My first shave with the GEM MMOC. I'd heard this was an aggressive razor and what I heard was right IMO. It felt comfortable and shaved reasonably close. I tried to be careful, but my face was not happy when I got done. I was red-faced, had a couple weepers and LOTS of AS sting. Only positive is it's still a very close shave 8 hours later. I'll give it another try tomorrow, but I think it has me intimidated. I don't think I like this thing. (Don't know why they're are 2 pics.) HERM
