Hey Jim - I guess great minds think alike Just bought a Schick on Ebay as well. The seller did not mention a specific model, but I think it's an E5 (correct me if I'm wrong)

That's Defo a Type. G 1..It has the 2 Patent Numbers on the Left of the Spring..

Guess you're right - I checked the seller's pictures again and found one that shows the two patent numbers on the head. Didn't know that the G-model also came with a black handle ... I have seen only turquoise, dark blue and amber so far.

 

It could be a G. Check and see if it says Shick Injector or Eversharp-Schick. If it is Shick Injector I would say it was an E5. E-S means it is a G. I have a navy G. It looks black until you get it in bright light.

Ok, finally found a Hydro-Magic that wasn't priced high. Also NOS Schick blades in the same order. I guess $11.49 wasn't too bad to pay for both including shipping. Looks like all it needs is a good cleaning.

 

My HM was rough like that, but it cleaned up well. I really like it. Good buy.

I ordered a Stirling Finest 26 x 54. Everybody has such good things to say about these knots, and that particular knot is a little bigger than most of my brushes, so I kind of HAD to try one. Bet it's going to have a big ole bloom.

I got these on Ebay. Had to get something to use my Ebay bucks. So for me it was at no cost.
