SOTD: Quiet Saturday shave; this vintage Tanifuji 'Favorit 750' was an abused $7 ebay salvage. The heel was 'modified' on this razor and it was part of a junky lot of similarly altered, rusty shavers. Cleaned up nicely and took a gloriously-smooth edge, albeit only about 2" in width. I'm quite fond of how this razor shaves! Lovely Soap Commander 'Courage' lather & aftershave balm. Enjoyable morning!
For Sunday this will be my setup: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Junjie/Astra day 7 Barbon S/C Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer Razorock Don Donato A/S Splash What a nice cream this Barbon is - easy to lather, with a great scent, and it even acts as a bacteria killer. If you ever get a cut or a nick the chlorophyll in it stops the bleeding immediately, and you feel absolutely NO pain whatsoever. The Don Donato aftershave has a very manly scent and a decent cooling sensation.. Great stuff!

Away for a family wedding this evening. Pretty fine shave with Speick cream and aftershave. Riding the injector train! Have a great weekend!
Oct. 15/2016 Sat. I have been indisposed due to several events; should be back on post in a couple days. It`s a long story, so I won`t burden you with my personal problems. In the meantime I have scored quite a haul,( and I never win anything). Awhile back, I bought a 2 pc Hibco razor, and have been using it for 1/2 de blades. It is so easy to load, I won`t need the rocnel, if they ever get to my name. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a couple to explain my extraordinary luck. SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: MLSW Sandalwood pre shave butter Razor: Gillette Tech/ Somerset Blade: Laser Platinum (3rd shave) Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic Soap: RazoRock SMDF Post: HEV Cognac & Cuban Cigars balm Wow! What a nice refreshing shave this morning. The SMDF smells great and made a thick lather, the menthol adds a nice cooling effect, especially with cold water. 3 passes today, but I tried a experiment. I didn't do any rinse between passes. I will have to try this some more to seek if it makes a difference. Finished off with HEV balm which paired well with the SMDF, both are menthol Tobacco scents.
