Tonights shave was with a loaner. It felt like Swedish steel, but no marking for proof. It's been freshly honed today, and the shave was a three pass BBS shave. All passes were smooth, even the ATG. No cuts, weepers, or nicks.

Razor- Vintage Japanese rat rod of a razor. The "Cape" aka "Cape Fear".
    Brush- Semogue 1800 Boar
    Soap- Stirling Barbershop
    Aftershave- Florida Water

Thanks Kevin. That helps. I really like to know some of the history behind anything I own. I do find it to be a great razor even though I've only shaved with it once. It took a nice edge and gave me a nice shave.

I guessing that they're celluloid scales and I guess that would make it pre WWII. All the Wostenholm peerless razors I've seen online have three pins, but mine has two pins. Also, many have gold inlay on the blade, but mine does not. Hmmm...

It's like trying to figure out family history!

Here's a 'fancier' 3-pin version (not mine) of "Perfection" not "Peerless"—but shows that the company was creating additional models with blade pattern options.……

Next up in the rotation today was my no name Solingen. This is a nice razor and was my first SR. I once thought about selling it, but I always get great shaves from it. At this point, it's a keeper!

Shave 33. I tried out my newly acquired Friedr. Schlemper. I first did a little refresh on the hone and it came out sharp and smooth. Best shave to date. I did manage to open some past cuts and inflict one or two new small ones. This is about as sharp as my John Clarke but smoother. Some alum noise but not screaming. This one is a keeper. :happy036:

I also got to use my new Shavemac 2 band silver tip. Really nice brush. Like a cross between my Savile Row 3824 and T&H Wellington Super Badger. :happy088:

Do you like that strop? I was thinking about ordering one. But anyway that's a nice looking razor!
