Tonights shave was very nice, almost BBS two pass shave. It could have been with a touch up. I didn't want to push it.
Razor- "Respect" Silver steel

I Had a Great Slow Morning Shave with My Kropp 6/8th..Quite a Thick Heavy Spine on this SR & a Very Compact Size Blade..The Grind is Par Excellence & its a Velvet Smooth & Manoeuvrable Shaver with a Superb Edge..This was the 2nd SR that I Bought & its a Long Term Keeper for Sure..These Aint the Fanciest of SRs but Boy are they Special Shavers..

William Greaves & Sons, For Barber's Use 9/8" — monster blade and a great shaver!

 

This mornings shave. Wholly Kaw deserves more love, such a fantastic soap on both performance and scents.

 

My God I love that blade! Was it touched up on a belt or are those the original grind marks, there perfect. Gorgeous bevel along the spine, must be a dream to hone. Zero bow, zero twist. Amazing for that age.

 

Soviet Razor- Raketa. Actually more of a Soviet Letter Opener. Made post 1972 of soft steel, this razor wouldn’t hold an edge and had to be touched up four times during a two pass shave.

 

Tonights Shave was with my first Russian Razor. It was a great two pass shave, and this razor is perhaps the sharpest razor I have yet. I highly recommend these.

So is mine. Very hard steel, that takes a wicked wicked edge. That said, it delivers a velvety smooth shave. The first couple of strokes, with the shave, and I was about to curse it. I didn't hear hair being cut, and I felt nothing but the lather being wiped away. Wrong, the hair was gone too. It was just that sharp.

 

Aye..I Havent Another SR Quite Like it to be Honest..These Commie SRs Aint No Girly Mans Shavin Iron that's for Sure..
