Nice shave yet again! Stirling Barbershop lathered up really well with the Vulfix badger brush. As always it is slick and protective. One pass with touch-ups on the neck and jaw and I'm ready for the day. I'll continue the Stirling Barbershop through the end of this month.

    Have a great day!

  2. Such an enjoyable, face-freezing shave which left me not only with a BBS face that still feels like an air conditioner is blowing cold air on it, but also with tearing eyes and a runny nose. (Love it!) The Glacial Wintergreen trio, my Plissoft synthetic, and my Junjie/Derby duo did the job beautifully and finally a little Arctique aftershave laid a lethal extra freeze on me! :happy088: :happy088:

I haven't used Feather blades in a long time, so I decided to test my technique. It felt great while I shaved, but after I rinsed, several weepers and some burn appeared on my neck. It took a double dose of B&M Reserve Cool to put out the fire. I get better shaves from the much cheaper voskhod blades. I think I'll stick with them.

    Colgate Cup Soap
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
M&L Florida Water Cologne w/added menthol

Today's shave ended up ok but the journey there wasn't all that great. Hadn't used a boar brush in eons and had trouble getting adequate lather. Guess I'm to used to synthetic brushes and how they work so very well for me. Anyway, a not so great lather and the Dorco blade proved to be a little rough and uncomfortable. I will give the Dorco another chance tomorrow but with different brush/soap and see what happens. Now go enjoy your day folks
  7. Thank you for the kind words. I've seen others share their shower routine too, so I jumped in on that, but I may be the last remaining shower-sharer; appears that way, anyway.
