1. Nope, but eBay Fr is where I bought a couple. I passed on several that looked really nice, with little hone wear. I'm talking less than $10 for some 100 year old Framebacks. Great deals on the French site. The UK site, not so much.
I've just bought too many straights this weekend. I have to step away from the buy button, and just say no, sometimes.
  2. I am in French EBay all the Time..There is about One Main Seller that Does NOS Grelots, Theirs & Stuff..His SRs Usually Command Top Dollar..He has Nothing Listed at the Moment..But there is a Couple of NOS Grelots Up for Bidding at the Moment...Just Use the Rasoir Coupe Choux Search on French EBay...Don't use the English Version of French EBay..French Ebay hasn't Really got many Consistent or Big Player Sellers so to Speak..:happy088:

  3. have the same problem.have four in the mail at the time.got the idea to get 7 razors from every country that made quality razors.then i can have a english week, spanish week etc, and i have a system ans som boundaries in my collecting.just finished my english(sheffield) collection:)
  4. That's a slippery slope if I ever heard of one. And some awesome rationalization. :happy036:

Why didn't I think of that? :signs002:

  6. It's all a part of the fun. I have been quoted between $3- $8, on straight razors being mailed to the USA. Lately the sellers in France have been more willing to mail to other countries, for a very fair price, than the sellers in the UK. It us to be reversed. Some of the best deals are those just a day or two from closing, when little to no bidders are present, and they don't list selling worldwide. I just type a "Polite" request and ask if they ship to the USA and if so, what the postage would be. Translation apps will be your best friend with small sellers.
Btw, the razors I look for are Diamonds in the rough.
  7. If you are on Facebook, there is a Shave Gear Raffle group. One gentleman on there often raffles off French Razors.
  8. do you remeber the name of the group?

  11. Nope, he said "a Shave Gear Raffle group". Not "The Shave Gear Raffle" group. I'm cutting myself off of caffeine now. I'm becoming pedantic.:eatdrink047:

  13. To be honest, your English is fine. Mine is sometimes incorrect. I just blame everything on an over enthusiastic auto correct feature.

  14. Fair warning, the raffle group is a money pit, but sometimes you get awesome stuff.
