  1. The modern Personna injector dispensers are not too good. You have to fiddle around with it to get the blade injected into the razor. Not too bad for me, but the QC there is lacking.

I found the first shave with the Personna in my PAL adjustable to be rough. I was ready to pop it out and load up a chick with that first shave, but I continued on.

It definitely smoothed out on subsequent shaves. I easily get BBS and no irritation with these blades and I'm on shave 9 right now and the blade is still going strong!

IMHO,the modern Personna injector blades may be sharper than chick blades and last a bit longer too! I do find the chick blades to be more comfortable, at least on the first shave or two. The Personna blades are also cheaper than the chicks. Everyone's skin and technique is different, but the Personna injector blades work for me. YMMV.

Terrific shave with the I1 this morning. This one gives the G1 a run for its money as far as efficiency and smoothness. I have really enjoyed the I1 so far. Mitchell's Wool Fat today on Fat Friday! Great soap. Finished off with Fine American Blend. Fine shave all in all.

    Have a great day!

  11. I got my G5 turquoise today....

It is in really beautiful shape.

It was not listed as NOS, but said that razor appeared new. The blade dispenser is a little beat up, but shoved plumb full of blades, and the razor still has the blank inside.

I haven't decided if I will shave with it or not. I have other G's to play with, so this one might just stay "new".

  13. Fantastic. Ogle it as long as you like and then shave with it like it was the 1950's :happy093:
  14. THAT is a cool razor! Jealous!
  15. Thanks, Guys. I will probably use it at some point, but for now she can just hang on the rack with the rest of the gang and tell everybody how much cooler she is than everyone else.

Nice shave with the G tonight. First try at the Palmolive cream. The scent was not very strong, and reminded me of dishwashing soap. I kept hearing Madge telling me I was soaking in it. It was so-so, but it was my fault. I worked it up a bit in the bowl, and then went to the face. It seemed a bit pasty, so I kept dipping the brush tips into my mug, and going back to the face, trying to get that shine out of it. Well, I went a little too far with the water and pretty much broke the lather. I just ended up with really thin lather and a wet t shirt . I will try with it again and be a little more careful.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

  17. Wow Man! Very nice glimpse into your universe for a second here....One thing for sure...you've got the hippest and most compact shaving travel kits on the planet there...a little like Mary Poppin's Carpet bag...I'll be sure to swing by your dimension next time I need a new travel kit, can you fit my Schick Simplified Automatic into one like that?

BTW....I prefer the new look to the Thayers Witch Hazel....It has a more vintage feel...and is still the same Great juice!

Magnificent shave with the Schick N1 this morning loaded with a twin blade. Excellent, slick, protective lather from the PAA 1K shave soap. The performance of PAA is outstanding folks. Three refreshing passes for a dolphin smooth end result. Have a great day guys. :)
