Hi everyone. Giving a wave from Tennessee. Haven't been actually shaving for years, just spent my years trimming the face down with no guard. But have some questions because I am looking to start shaving again. I have my Grandfather's safety razor that is at least 60 years old by our best guesses. Possibly upwards of 80 or so. Cleaned it up and looking to start using it. Going to post my questions up and can't wait to get advice from folks who know way more than myself!
Welcome James! Some of the best razors are the old ones and using your grandfather's razor is priceless.
I am stoked about it. I never got to meet him as he died when my dad was about 10 years old so I have only ever heard stories and seen pictures so this is super special to me. Thank you for the welcome!
Welcome @jamesrw30 ! I'm curious, too. Post a photo if you are unsure. There are some very knowledgeable folks around that may help to identify who, where, and when it was made.
