  2. My Stirling treasures must have thought I abandoned them because I was using creams for most of the week, but there's no way I'd ever do that!

The MITA soap delivered on the awesome lather and its menthol effect felt so delightful, as well as the skincare being so soothing. The Lemon Chill witch hazel gave me another icy blast which ended this great shave on a perfect note! :happy088: :happy088:

The Rum Runner was very easy to whip into a rich slick protective lather. I paid attention to my trouble spots as I progressed through my normal 3 pass routine. I was rewarded with a near BBS result which is more than good enough for a relaxing morning. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point

For today's shave I chose my Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, the razor celebrating sixty years this renowned Italian artisan dedicated to straight razor. Mastro Livi in fact started working on straight razors in 1955, when he was fourteen and his father allowed him to hone his very first straight razor as he finally thought his son was ready to work on such a noble shaving tool. Mastro Livi learned the art of honing from his father since he was five and he divided his time between working on family's workshop and school. I am enjoying my Mastro Livi Club Shave Brush 2016 Edition very much indeed! It is the only shave brush I am using lately and I love it! Great super silvertip badger loft, beautiful and awesome look, absolutely fitting my hand with its perfect balance and weight. A champion in mounting the lather from Tabac Original Shave Soap, a shave ending with the elegant touch of Floïd Black.

  9. SOTD: Early Sunday morning shave using this vintage Sheffield Frederick Fenney 'Tally Ho' 8/8" — a smooth, big-bladed, hollow-ground shaver. Martin de Candre 'Fougére,' Stirling 'Kong' synthetic brush and Wm Neumann & Co. 'Heartwood' balm. Plenty of Peet's black 'Major Dickason' to help me through this foggy morn.

  15. Yeah, too close isn`t good for your skin, may cause ingrown hairs, I guess once in awhile won`t hurt.

  17. Thank you Mark. I absolutely love both of my CH 2 Synthetic brushes. I wonder how they compare to the Duke 3 Synthetic.
  18. I took a chunk out of my cheek on Thursday with a straight razor, so I didn't shave until today to let it heal up good before dragging another sharp edge over the area. One pass and touchups with the bulldog took down three days growth with ease.

The Flex head with a twin blade set up, is like falling off a log. So easy and simple, with NO incidents. A two passes, 1st WTG and an ATG/XTG second pass,
was just the ticket to a near Dolhin smooth shave. Oh happy camper, where art thou........ Here, wishing the same outcome for all. God Bless.
