Mmmmm. Tried it....moved it to my travel bag...moved it to...well, out if my rotation. Sorry Arko lovers. I couldn't get past the industrial, public restroom grating soap that I remember with such fondness. Not.
Reading all of these descriptions lately of the allegedly awful Arko scent really makes me want to smell it even more. It almost has me as curious as I am about the Veg.
And a good soap it is, if it wasn't for the citronella. That's what is used in many commercial grade bathroom cleaners, hence the comparison. It makes people think, "I don't want to smell the men's room while I'm shaving,"
I like Arko and the scent doesn't bother me. If it is left out or smooshed into an open mug, the scent mellows pretty quickly. There are a number of creams with scents that I do not much like, but fortunately the Arko SS and I get along well.
Many wet shavers do. I didn't hate it, but there are simply too many more "pleasing" alternatives available. I readily acknowledge that it is a very good soap.
I grate mine, air it out, and mix in some essential oils to get wonderful smells. Arko Rocks. Slick and inexpensive. If you can't get a nice fluffy slick lather with Arko, then, well, it's not the soaps fault.
Then I can pretty much guarantee you would hate The Sheep. It has so much citronella, you don't think bathroom at all. You think mosquito candle. I love it.
Love me some Arko. Strange question, but has anyone ever used it as a bath soap? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
I'd take Arko over the Cremo Sandlewoood!!!! At least Arko can and will lather. I have the shave stick and the tub of Arko. Both are great, and I use the stick for traveling and the puck for at home use.
Arko and Derby Sticks are a vicious cycle. Get a good deal on a box, hand them out to your friends. Run low, buy another box, to hand out to your friends. If Fallout was real, money would be razor blades and shave sticks, not bottle caps.
I do not have either the Derby stick nor the tub. I just have the cream..... Great now I gotta get those as well.
