  17. Focus Shave 124 001.JPG
    December 4,2016

Going to give this Focus thing a try. My Focus is going to be on finding a blade to go with my '71 SA-109. I'm using Gillette Silver Blue for a baseline. I'm going to audition Astra Green, Bolzano, Feather Black, Shark Super Chrome and Wilkinson Sword Classic. Once I'm done, I'll move on to my NEW SC. So here goes:
Pre-Shave: VDH Shave Butter w/hot towel
Razor: '71 Gillette Super Adjustable set on "8" for WTG pass, "5" for XTG cheeks and chin, ATG for neck.
    Blade: Astra Super Platinum
Cream: TOBS Coconut Luxury Shaving Cream
    Brush: Omega 6212 Silvertip Badger
Post-Shave: Hot/Cold water rinse, Alum block and Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
After Shave: Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum
Background: "John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman" CD
Song of the Day: "Lush Life"
I usually don't do the hot towel thing during the week. I save that for my Sunday morning shave. I also don't listen to music, just the local talk radio station to find out what's been going on over night, the weather for the day etc. The Sms is my nod to decadence, and I do it every week.
Have a great rest of your weekend Gents!
  18. Good setup and picture.
  19. I have found that since going to straights, my understanding of how blades, angle, and pressure interact has increased to the point that it is almost instinctive. The first time I used an injector, I got a BBS with no irritation. Argessive DEs are easy to use now as finding the angle on razors is easier. Anyone else find this?
