Wednesday's Dove Men Face Wash Arko Shaving Stick Jayaruh #61 Gillette Pre-War Fat-Handle Tech Personna Super CWR, Asma Alum Block T.N. Dickinson's WH Pinaud Clubman The Arko Shaving Stick face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #61 boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Pre-War Fat-Handle Tech with a Personna Super blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: shower with SV 7th anniversary bath soap Razor: Gillette ball end tech Blade: Voskhod Brush: Fine Angel Hair Synthetc Soap: Kshaveworx Recurve Post: Myrsol Emulsion/ Curve EDT Had a nice 2 pass shave this afternoon, the scent of this soap is a bit on the light side and reminds me of beeswax but it whipped up a nice lather and is a soap I will have to experiment with a bit more. Pretty happy with today's results so no complaints. Finished off with Emulsion. hope everyone had a great shave !

Decadent December!! December 6 Razor - Master Barber Magic Shavette Blade - (2) Soap - Proraso Red Brush - BoS Omega 10066 Post - Alum, Nivea Couldn't resist another round with the shavette this envening. I did my usual weekly head shave - with the usual gear (Merkur 23c/VdH Deluxe/VdH Boar) - then got out the Proraso Red and Omega 10066 to set up for another run with the Derby blade. Last night's was a really nice shave overall and I want to see if I can improve on it. The answer to that question - yes and no. Overall the finish was a pretty nice DFS. If 1 is barely DFS and 10 is near BBS I would call it a 6.5 So, nice and smooth and felt really good again. The only problem was a cut near my right ear as I started to go XTG. I'm not sure exactly what happened but I think I put too much pressure on the blade just before starting the stroke. It almost felt like a jump but I think was just a dig instead. The cut was light, not much blood, just a thin red line to tell me I goofed. The thin DE blades unguarded do provide a certain challenge to make sure everything is aligned right and that the right amount of pressure (basically none) is applied. Even with that I was very happy with the result. That's two down with no major issues. I'm thinking I'll do a third tomorrow night then either return to Decadent December Soviet Style or else maybe try a different blade. We'll see. My weekend is over! Went by way too fast. Back to the mines tomorrow. Hope you had a great day!
