Gillette Old Style OC Razor Voskhod Blade Royal London Boar Brush Beau Brummel Cybilla Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel Aqua Velva Musk After Shave Looks like I forgot how many shaves this blade had and didn't discard it the last time I used it. Experienced a bit of tugging, but took my time and changed the angle slightly and still managed a pretty good DFS.
It didn't work well for me initially.. but I started using it as a post shave. I like the menthol in it.
Guys, disregard what you saw before as my setup because there's going to be a change! Saturday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Derby unknown day Barbon S/C Nivea Sensitive A/S Balm My Lea Classic is wonderful but somehow I feel I'd rather go with the Barbon. A couple of weeks ago I received a back-up tube of it so what the heck - why not? It's one of the best creams I have and I really enjoy using it. The Nivea Sensitive balm is hard to beat where skincare is concerned and it's also got a bit of cooling to it.

Schick Injector Type N Schick blade Maggards 22mm black synthetic brush Tabac soap Skin Bracer aftershave I've never used an injector before, but this was a great shave. Two passes and no nicks or irritation. I'm pretty impressed with this razor.
Razor: Gillette Red Tip A-4 1955 Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (2) Brush: Maggard 22 mm Synthetic (Secret Santa) Soap: First Canadian Shave Soap Co. Bay Rum/Lime (Sample) Aftershave: Captain's Choice Bay Rum Whipped up an excellent lather tonight by adding a little more soap to the bowl. I believe the knot in this brush is a Sunrise as it performs much like the Sunrise in my Tres Amigo Beehive brush. The blade is performing well. Three passes with a touch up for a near BBS.
Saturday's Dove Men Face Wash Arko Shaving Stick Jayaruh #142 Gillette SS Black Tip W4 Personna Super CWR, Asma Alum Block T.N. Dickinson's WH Pinaud Clubman The Arko Shaving Stick face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #142 black badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette SS Black Tip W4 with a Personna Super blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Proraso White soap is also mentholated. Not in a big way, but still enough to give a cooling effect. It also smells great.
Dec 9: Not a great shave this afternoon. Tested the Personna Platinum blade. Used the usual Merkur 34c with my new synthetic Omega Hi-Brush. Captain's Choice Sandalwood soap (very nice scent). Finished with the "Original" Old Spice. I had higher expectations for this blade. I know the Personna Lab Blues get pretty high reviews. This Personna blade though, certainly does not get my thumbs up. Lots of pulling and considerable touch up. Still have areas that need more attention but my skin won't take it. Rating this one in my lowest category. That's two Personna blades now - this one and the Crystals. Neither work for me. I was going to order a pack of Lab Blues to try but I don't know now. As Scarlett said: "Tomorrow is another day"
Pm your address I'll send you some. No need to order. I also have some derby and Astra sp if you have never tried those either.
Thanks. I have tried the Astra SP and Derby Extra. So far of the 16 blades I've tried, the Astra SP is the best - excellent shave. The Derby was smooth but didn't feel very sharp. Still have Feather, Gillette 7 O'clock (yellow) and Voskhod to try.
