I am strictly searching for the best LOOKING safety razor. What is it? If it works great, so much the better...but I am curious about looks primarily. Pics would be great.
Highly subjective of course, but I'm tempted to say a Wolfman razor with his Darwin inspired handle; closely followed by the Timeless Razor w/ this handle (here in its stand); Honorary mentions to the Merkur Vision 2000 that has a very different design but still one that I find visually very appealing;
For me it's easy. The Cobra Classic. I'd like it even if it wasn't an awesome shaver, just because it looks so cool. --Bob
I am still waiting for mine to arrive (hence no picture yet), but I also really like the look of the Blackbird with the OC. I have to agree with Darkbulb, that those Wolfman Darwin handles are beautiful as well Timeless OC with the grooved head and pineapple handle. Overall, if I had to pick one, I think the Timeless is the best. looking.
I am with Bob. I have many of the razors mentioned here and the CC is the coolest and most original razor.
Im thinking it'd be a Ronson. I dont have one, they dont use regular blades. But they look cool. Pic borrowed from internet.
From a DE vintage stand point the venerable Old Types the ones that started it all. Still very elegant after all these years.
There are so many to choose from. I like the bulldog in the past above as my choice for vintage. For modern, I would have to say either the BBS1 or the titanium Wolfman OC with the wrh2 handle.
It may look pedestrian with all of the nicely machined offerings available today, but I was always fond of the Old Type Aristocrat.
