Got home from a weeks vacation and had some goodies waiting for me;

A Slim (seen HERE) in very good condition! Lovely!

And an Executive that needs some cleaning, but otherwise in excellent condition!

(+ a dissapointment, a small thing that didn't live up to the description... not a biggie but very sad )

My skates finally arrived in the correct size, they are pretty nice rides....
the big 100mm wheels are fast and smooth out the rough stuff / cracks in the pavement

I stopped in at the Truefitt & Hill store in Chicago... Needless to day, my credit card melted! Pics soon.

The folks that work there are really great, too.


And... my brother gave me a tube of Speick to try! A shaving extraveganza this week!

yesterday, a nice little package that caught me by total surprise!!!!!

2x Hega aftershave bottles (from Sweden, and very nice!)
2x packs Bic blades (from Greece)

here's what the Hega stuff looks like:

I gave one bottle to Armand, with a pack of the Bics, so let's hope he likes them!

I bought a new tripod (Manfrotto Neotec 458B) and head (Manfrotto 468MGRC2). The sweet thing is it uses no leg locking collars, levers, knobs, or twists. I ordered it on Monday from Adorama and it arrived in Southern France on Wednesday. Even with the UPS shipping fees and the French customs duty, I saved about $150. Our retailers are a bunch of idiots. That’s more money for an Italian manufacturer, an American retailer and the French Treasury Department.

 

It looks ace! But if you SAVED $150, I just have to ask how much you paid for it to begin with...
