So true for not only MWF but most all soaps. I have found that most problems with lather can be attributed to not enough product and/or the wrong amount of water.
It took me a bit to get the Fat dialed in properly. It is definitely a soap that needs just the right amount of water. I followed @PLANofMAN's thread on hydrating the puck, so I need very little water when I lather it. If you add water very slowly, it will build a very nice, thick, and rich lather. As mentioned, don't be afraid to load it like it owes you money.
Okay so this is week two of my blade Focus. Bolzano is up. Yesterday's shave was so-so. Had a two day growth and started with a fresh blade. "7" on the SA-109 for the WTG pass. As with the Astra, I dialed back to "5" for the second pass and touch up. When I used this blade in my DE89 it did not live up to some of the reviews I saw online. Today's shave was better, because I left it on "7" for the shave. I'm going to give it the full week, but I'm not impressed. Have a great day, Gents.
Decadent December Vintage Williams stick & JR#130 Synthetic Stahly head on Muhle Grande handle, Rapira Alum and Aqua Velva Musk AS/Cologne Retro tallow soap rubbed into the bottom of the textured ceramic suribachi bowl yielded 1-1/2 shaves worth of lather. It still has a touch of scent and great long lasting slick goodness. I swapped handles onto the Stahly cap & base until deciding on the Muhle. It works very well with my Fatip Piccolo base and compliments this top too. A bit on the mild side so with plenty of lather three passes, clean up, & Gillette slides happened. Alum was smooth and cool. Haven't used the Musk AS in months so I gave it a double dose, but I tend to do that with most post products. After I put away my gear I looked outside to the drizzly weather. There was the U.S. Postal Person ( who just happens to be a Man, today). I'm always concerned when I have an incoming package. Too many sticky fingers in my neighborhood. No checks or bills, but a *Special Package* arrived! Good Shaves Y'all!
As a father of 4, including one 10 month old, I can tell you that is only true for about the 6-8 months. After that, it is much easier to catch the shaving baby!
December 12 SOTD: Stirling Synthetic Brush Route 66 Sweeney Todd Gillette Black Beauty Stirling Unscented PSB Tabac AS Today's shave was the first with the Black Beauty this month. I used the Sweeney Todd again, as I enjoyed it so much yesterday. It did not disappoint this time either. The shave was smooth and easy, verging on BBS. So far these razors are making it difficult to narrow down. It is interesting in that all the razors definitely have differences, but they are all enjoyable in their own way. This will be a fun month of shaves! I hope everyone has a great day!
Well if you keep them shackled when they start to crawl that makes it easier.......what?.........no one else did that?.......really? Ummmm.......

When my youngest was about two, she started getting up in the middle of the night and wandering around. We were worried she was going to get outside, or hurt herself in general, so I turned the doorknob around on her bedroom, and we would lock her in. It was safe in there and if there was ever an emergency, I knew right where she was. Fifteen years later she claims she was the victim of abuse.
