A bit of burley in the Chacom on a drizzly Monday. Wessex Burley Slice gives smooth flavor. I'll enjoy this tin!
Thoroughly enjoying some MacBaren Vanilla Creme in the MM Maple wood Ozark with a cup of hazelnut coffee. Good morning so far! =)
Picked up this B-C on eBay. It had a bad pic, but the owner indicated it was unsmoked so I took a gamble. I can't find much info on the Camargue model, but we'll see how it smokes.
Squadron Leader is a very nice Latakia blend, and if I were still smoking Latakia it would probably be my go to, along with Frog Morton, and FM On The Town. I've got a tin of Skiff, but haven't tried it yet. I thought Grousemoor was hideous. SG Chocolate Flake is also very nice. You don't really get a lot of Latakia taste, but you can tell it's there, and it's more of a light cocoa taste versus chocolate.
No pic, first pipe I've smoked in a while. H&H Virginia Spice in a Chacom billiard. Got to the bottom of some of my ear issues, and wound up with hearing aids. ENT said pain in my ears was either from a problem with a disc in my neck, which may still be an issue, and/or nerves in the inner ear are frazzled from straining to hear things I can no longer hear. The hearing aids have helped, and the nerves are settling down. I've stayed away from my pipes, as vitamin N seemed to make my ear issues worse, but I think I can ease back into them. The hearing aids sure put a dent in my pipe budget! That's something I should have done a few years back.
Very helpful! Thanks. =) So what was te flavor of Grousemoor to you? It was one of the few Aromatics I figured I'd try; and probably one of the mixtures I'm more leery about to start. The rest are Latakia blends mostly. Cabbie's Mixture is a VaPer; and sounds really good. If you happen to crack open the tin of Skiff Mixture before I place my next order; let me know what you think of it. =)
Nice bowl of John Bull in a Roma Zulu, with a hot cup of coffee as I look out my window at a couple inces of newfallen snow; on top of the more than a foot we already had, lol. Gonna be a busy day!
No, just one I don't use often, didn't wanna ghost a Virginia dedicated pipe. I've been a good boy this year so Mrs Samurai told Santa to send me a Peterson Christmas 2016 87 shape. It's a red stain with a marbled green acrylic stem. Will smoke it later! But here's a new one:
Beautiful pipe! I really like the Peterson Christmas pipes. It's redundant to tell you this, but go really slow with the first few bowls, and avoid a hot pipe. I've had 2 of those that the finish bubbled up. The first I definitely smoked too hot, and the second I wound up a little warmer than I meant.
