I will give it another go around or two. I am still on the first blade with it, so maybe I bunged it up. I would have ranked it with the I/J/L's based on it so far. I have that NOS G in turquoise I will give him instead. He will likely appreciate that better anyway.
Not a first string player - - I prefer the 1912 family to the Micromatics generally - - but the Clog-Pruf is a very respectable shaver. I skipped the preshave oil today and I do notice the difference.
Did it come loaded with a Blank ? or was there a blade already in it. If the latter is the case, try a new blade. I use one frequently and it out shaves most Schicks , not wholly sure about the E2 as I have not yet had enough shaves with one, using different blades. Good Luck And Persevere.
Thanks for the input. It had a blade in it, so I replaced it. I thought it shaved okay, about like a G, but not as well as the Adjustable. I will swap the blade out before I use it again. You never know. It is way too cool to give up on if you guys say it has some backbone. Thanks.
Don't shave with it flat on the face. Tilt the handle upward a bit. It has a very specific sweet spot that takes everything clean off.
Wed. 12/14/16 Excellent shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic this morning. Shave number 10 on this blade and going strong. Wonderful lather from the Proraso Green shave cream. Three easy refreshing passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day guys.
Wed 14th Dec. After the E2 shave of yesterday, which though long lastingly close was also very harsh, I moved on to the PAL Golden Injecto Matic, it was also fitted with a Dutch Schick. The handle is shaped very nicely and allows the razor to be handled very precisely, on both downward and upward strokes. The Shave was very smooth and comfortable , and the razor obviously responds to my shaving style as the finish IMHO was superior to that attained with the E2 . I like the way it shaves , and have started to use it as a Travel Razor.
SOTD December 14, 2016 Schick L1 injector Chick blade Arko Cool cream Witch hazel mixed with Fine Platinum Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch up Decent hotel shave. It's just not the same quality as home shaves. Not bad though. Arko Cool smells fresh, like Irish Spring soap. Have a great day!
