Some things more interesting than others maybe but these three things appeared in the mail box this week; 1) 50 Wilkinson Ultra Glide carts. I really like these two-blade carts and 50 for $12 was a good deal. 2) Three hand/body soaps from Queen Charlotte Soaps that are sadly now closing their doors. 3) And after a few weeks the Option.Five razor appeared as well. First impressions: Very positive.
The carts? Yeah, I don't think they're made any more. Great carts. If you ask me cart-development should have stopped at two blades
Finally at long last got myself another Semogue 2012 LE brush below and I wonder why other brush makers don't make enough Boar/Badger knot these days, and I really like the feels of this knot.
Yet another addition to my growing collection of Mennen Skin Bracer decanters. This one came mostly full for $12.
Hey, that's a bright idea! You know, I have to tell you; ever since it arrived in today's mail I've been looking at it and wondering how many more years before I'll have to explain to someone what an incandescent light bulb is/was.
Todays Haul: Japan- "FeoN 東京" French- "RAMEAU Sens" Wedge. The seller stated its around 1865 +- Cost $2.13 + $4.79 shipping.
Today was a different acquisition. A friend and co-worker just came back from India and he brought back some shaving goodies for me. I asked if he could bring back a puck of Godrey Shaving Round Soap. He not only delivered, but also picked up a tube of Godrey Senative Shaving Cream! Something different and unique to try! Steve
It was kind of a personal question. I got my Stahly as part of a lot through an online auction, and shipped from Oregon to Louisiana. It was stated "as is" and no way did I want some ham handed flunkie giving it a twist and damaging the clock works. Fortunately mine was very clean, rust free, fully functional, with an undamaged plastic display box. I was hopeful that Billy's was too! I've looked, but not spotted it. And that's OK. Pleased another Shiny Thing got into the hands of someone that appreciates vintage gear.
Sort of a "re haul" . I just got this Torrey back from Glen @gssixgun honed and ready! I wonder what I will be shaving with next???
These two came in yesterday. My first Japanese straight razor: And I traded my Aristocrat Jr. for this one. Supposedly French in origin, one of the previous owners modified the blade and put new scales on. I like it:
