SOTN December 15th Ikon X3 Slant Personna Platinum Chrome Dr Jon Hydra Satin Tip The Purest Crown King scuttle Homemade Tangerine AS Good morning friends! Last night led to another decadent December shave. I was able to get a very nice, warm, thick lather from Dr Jon's and the Hydra scent is phenomenal, it smells so good it makes you want to taste it. Last night I did something I normally don't do and that was shave against the grain, hopefully I don't pay for it later with ingrown hairs. Due to the ATG the alum had a bite to it in places but my homemade tangerine AS cooled it right down. I walked away with a BBS finish, which is always easier when you shave ATG. Have a great day my friends!

I'd like to correct an egregious error I made in my SOTD for today(Thurs). Anyone besides me who's used TSD Lanolin soap knows the Lanolin is part of the soap itself, not "thrown in" as I described. I gave too much credit to the Russian Leather, not enough to the original makeup of the TSD soap.
Parker Variant razor Gillette Silver Blue blade RazoRock Plissoft brush TSD Lemongrass SS w/2x menthol Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe TSD Lemongrass A/S w/2x methol Dang! That was a face freezer of a shave and a darn fine one at that. Been using the Parker Variant razor for quite awhile now and can't seem to put it down. Excellent shaves every time. Is this the razor I never knew I always wanted? Think so. At any rate, fine shave and ready to go. Think I'll dust off all my other razors, they are feeling neglected. Now go enjoy your day folks

Thursday, December 15 After a real disaster using Brutalt Bra...I grabbed a sure-fire, no irritation, top-performing soap/razor/brush combo. IMO, there are too many "artisan" soaps that push the envelope with FO's and EO's. At least my recovering neck thinks so. Less is more, I always say, and that is why soaps like this one, vintage Williams, MWF will always remain my favorite products. Have a great day!
