U.S. Grant and his wife.

This week I'm going to pull the trigger on a stainless SE. I'm weighing the options of an ATT SE2 or an Asylum RX. I would appreciate pros and cons of either razor. Next week's shaves will all be with my only SE, the Schick Golden 500. I love the shaves that I have with this razor.
Any in-put on the two stainless I'm looking at will be much appreciated.

BTW. I'm pretty confident with my DE's and the majority of my shaves this year will come with a SE. I've got a black General coming from Colonial next month so I'll be rotating three SE's this year.

Entombed in a sarcophagus. For bonus points anyone know his preferred razor? Either Grant or Groucho.

Groucho did ads for Personna blades in the 40s but preferred an electric.

I'm sure Billyfergie now owns this razor of Grant's.

 

Getting back to your original question, I have both an Asylum Rx and an ATT SE2. They are both excellent razors and I'm certain that you will not be disappointed with either one.

The Rx is the more aggressive of the two and is the only razor I have that reminds me of my Cobra Classic.

I should mention that I have the early version of the SE2 - the new version that you would get is said to be more aggressive.

Both razors are exquisitely crafted and beautifully finished.

If I had to pick one or the other I guess it would be the Rx but I'm glad that I don't have to.

A truly magnificent shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic razor this morning. Tomorrow I'll be on my eleventh shave with a Dutch Danglies blade and going strong. This "Jared" Van Vulay shaving soap which is named after Monica's own son is just outstanding. It face lathers exceptionally well providing bountiful, creamy, protective, beautiful smelling lather. It has a very rich cologne type scent. Three passes for a dolphin smooth refreshing finish. Enjoy your day friends.
