Witte's Rattler Brush by Tom B1/Game Changer knot Route 66 Stirling I switched razors today and had a challenge in that the goatee I've been sporting had to come off. I was going to go the easy route with a safety razor but sucked it up and used the SR. It took 3 tries but I was met with success. The razor definitely earned its pay!
This morning's shave was so cold that it almost felt painful but I loved every second of it. The Glacial Spearmint soap, balm, and Arctique aftershave splash did a royal number on my kisser, a new Astra in my Super Speed got me absolutely BBS. Another face-freezer for Tuesday morning: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra day 2 Stirling Glacial Obsidian S/S Stirling Glacial Obsidian A/S Balm Fine Snake Bite A/S Splash Havana EdT The mild weather we're getting is prompting me to be a Glacial boy again!
SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: Gustafsons woodlands Razor: Gillette Redtip Blade: Topaz (1st shave) Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic Soap: Route 66 Lumberjack Post: LT, CC North balm, Master Topaz aftershave (iced) Got a nice thick lather from the Route 66 soap, and the scent is a nice woodsy scent. Not very impressed with this Topaz blade, lots of tugging and dragging, although the Topaz aftershave is quite swell. Added some menthol crystals to the bottle to add a strong cooling effect, and it has a nice powdery barbershop type of scent. Shave ended with some irritation of course but was saved by the slick lather from Route 66. Hope everyone had a great shave !
Thanks Paul! I was lucky enough to find some Master aftershaves at various beauty supply stores around Detroit, some of the scents I didn't care for but the Topaz turned out to be my favorite. Another good one is Stephan Island Lime which can be found for under $8 for a large bottle.
I've used Stephan Bay Rum...liked it. As for Master's..I might try THEIR Bay Rum. Thanx for the tip on the Topaz.
Well, since we appear to be in for an "Indian Summer" type of day in late December(minus the humidity of course), it's back to my Christmas shave for tomorrow: b prep-Dove Men+Care Bodywash(hot shower) shave-Rise Super Foam razor-the blue Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot Plus DisposeABLE A.S.-Rise Cooling Balm("New" yet "Trusted Since the 50's".)

Thanks. Sadly, woke up with another sinus infection and cant smell a thing. Based on the performance of other L&L soaps I have tried I know this one will be a winner.
Decadent December!! December 26 Razor - Soviet Consul Blade - (1) Soap - Arko Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Post - Alum A change of blades and a click up to 4 and I'm ready to roll for the night. The Rapira PL is up for the next three shaves and the blade looks ok in the razor at this setting. Still think I'm seeing a bit of inconsistency in the gap but it's subtle. Or a figment of my imagination. Fantastic Arko lathr and two passes got me to a very nice DFS and the razor is still smooth, no blood, no issues at all. It's almost starting to scare me because no Soviet razor has ever been this good for this many shaves. Heck, most fail the first attempt. I'm waiting for that one shave now that will leave me a bloody, sobbing heap on the floor. But, there is the irritation issue. And......there is no issue yet either. Alum was quiet. As in......silent. Strange. Weird. Not sure what to think. Almost speechless. Almost. Day off tomorrow again so I'm looking forward to that. Not trying to rush off but I'm in the middle of Let's Make a Deal! Have a great night. This was my picture to enter. The Japanese are always good when you need a guy in a strange costume.
