  1. Thanks, Doug. My wife is definitely feeling better. My parents left today, and my dad was feeling better as well, but he thinks he gave himself a hernia with the violent dry heaves he had. He wanted to get home to see his doctor. Luckily, no one else seems to be having any issues, which would be a big blessing.
  2. You can never go wrong when you cater to the Cartel. And adding the Veg? Bonus points!
  3. Decadent December!!

    December 26

    Razor - Soviet Consul
    Blade - rapira-platinum-lux.jpg (1)
    Soap - Arko
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

A change of blades and a click up to 4 and I'm ready to roll for the night. The Rapira PL is up for the next three shaves and the blade looks ok in the razor at this setting. Still think I'm seeing a bit of inconsistency in the gap but it's subtle. Or a figment of my imagination.

Fantastic Arko lathr and two passes got me to a very nice DFS and the razor is still smooth, no blood, no issues at all. It's almost starting to scare me because no Soviet razor has ever been this good for this many shaves. Heck, most fail the first attempt. I'm waiting for that one shave now that will leave me a bloody, sobbing heap on the floor. But, there is the irritation issue. And......there is no issue yet either. Alum was quiet. As in......silent. Strange. Weird. Not sure what to think. Almost speechless. Almost.

Day off tomorrow again so I'm looking forward to that. Not trying to rush off but I'm in the middle of Let's Make a Deal! Have a great night. This was my picture to enter. The Japanese are always good when you need a guy in a strange costume.

  5. That one's on you. If there's a PIF that requires people dressed strange you know I'll be along at some point. Always be prepared!

  6. It's a bit scary that prepared means "carries adult tutu in briefcase at all times."

  9. Deep thoughts with @NCoxSTL

If we hadn't retired the fight song... Now would have been an occasion.
  10. We retired it? I didn't realize it was that old! Must be my age creeping!
  11. The band is all laid up on Monopolowa, deviled eggs and ossetra on toast. It's gonna be a while.
  12. Bands are bad about that kind of thing.
  13. I can order the shavette sampler on 1 Jan, for science. I doubt anyone in the band should be morning shaving with open blades, but if anyone wants to learn Shavette in January, I am months in and can help.

My plan is to open January with the @Keithmax Aust on NYD, with a repeat of last year. Then shavettes for the month.

Santa brought me one thing that cuts...

    A Parker shavette. Pics soon.

  14. Sounds like a plan! I may join you during that with some of those samples as well. Not sure what my New Year's shave will be. Just concentrating on getting through all 9 on the Consul without any permanent harm.

  15. I will just hold on to the sampler, we can coordinate with your plans easy. We can sample episodically at whim if I get stocked up.
