  1. Very nice razor case Guy. I like the picture also. :)
  2. I'm so glad that you like the razor Bill. I've always found it to be very comfortable to use. Happy new year my friend!

  3. Beautiful razor. I'm going to follow your lead and add a little music to my SR shaves. Seems like a great idea!

    Personna Injector Blade
    Frank Shaving Boar Brush
    WSP Fougere Noir Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel

First time with this particular Schick G and nothing out of the ordinary. A very nice three pass BBS shave.

  5. Dec 28: A most excellent shave just now. Two day growth and tested a new blade - Ladas. Another Russian blade and goes for around $10 per 100. I believe these are made in the same factory as the Rapira and Voskhod blades. The Russians know how to make good blades. I used my Merkur 34c, bowl, SOC boar and one of my favorite soaps - Cella. Cella makes great lather even though I have very hard well water. Finished with a splash of Fine Platinum. The shave was great. The Ladas blade is very near that sweet spot of being sharp enough but still smooth. Did the full three passes with a little touch up. Very close shave. I'll put this blade in my top category of "excellent". Next shave will be Friday and the test blade will be the Rapira Swedish Supersteel. Getting down there - only four blades left to test.

  7. Razor: Gillette Slim K 4 1965
Blade: Voskhod Bocko II Teflon (5)
Brush: Elite Razor "Tres Amigos" Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White
Soap: Route 66 High Mountain Mist
    Aftershave: Floid Blue
Razor and Voskhod blade are holding up very well. One thing about using different soaps is that when I return to Route 66 soaps I remember why I like and use them so much. Not a bad soap in the Route
    66 lineup.
