1. Yes I do recommend it also, I have the chrome Hawk and it's a great shaver, just the right amount of aggression.
  2. I have to say I'm impressed with the HAWK and how effectively it shaves. It's my only SE that once learned it doesn't need much attention even with the pro blade. It is a mild razor but it can be beefed up by changing to a heavier handle and a sharp blade. I might even try it with the super pro to see the difference. I have also coupled it with the MR5 handle and to me it looks better than with the original light one. Although I'm not a daily shaver, this one gives me the confidence that it can be used every day without regrets. For the price it gives the most bang for the $.
I wish they come out with an SS Hawk.
  3. Can't go wrong with Italian Barber. Great products and prices, and customer service is incredible.
  4. Why :angry017:? One of the artisan brush makers might well be able to create a brush with a similar handle.
  5. First things first.
I've just ordered a BSB rubberset 400 replica with a synthetic knot.

  6. Although this is a discussion about the Hawk, I can't help but mention the General by colonial razors also which is a similar SE as light as the hawk. I shaved with my recently acquired one and it's a bit more aggressive than the Hawk which I like, but this is not a review of the general. What I think is a let down is that the threads are not as long as the Hawk and as I use a heftier SS handle, I think they will strip in time, while the Hawk has a longer screwing pole which inspires confidence.

  11. The Hawks are available right now.
  12. On my way. Thanx.
  13. I couldn't find it on their site.
  14. Neither could I. Since they just announced it this morning maybe it will be added shortly.

Especially since they are having a 15% off in January! :)

  15. They just posted that they are also available at www.theenglishshavingcompany.com

Update: Noticed that they also sport the 15% discount. GBP 1.50 worldwide delivery on their stuff is not bad.
Couldn't find the brushes alone yet - still only as part of a set.
  16. I saw the sets, but I think I'll wait until I can buy just the brush. Good job it's coming from the U.K, no tax.:bounce017:

  17. How many shaves do you get from a SE blade? I see they're considerably more expensive than DE blades. That is a beautiful razor.
