Scents seem a bit manlier than I'm accustomed to, guess I'll have to stand a bit taller today. Hope y'all did as well, or better.
Menthol Thursday I just felt like a menthol shave today, and Krampert's is still my favorite face chiller. The Frostbite aftershave is especially good, and the soap is top notch as well - Soap Smooth makes an excellent vegan lather. My three day old stubble never stood a chance. Parker Variant razor Laser Ultra blade VDH/TGN Silver Tip franken brush Taconic Mint & Eucalyptus SC Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Skin Bracer A/S w/added menthol I"ve used the Laser blades in other razors with so-so results but in the Parker it was fabulous. Nice comfortable, close shave that suits me just fine. Finished with a liberal dose of the Skin Bracer that froze my face and liked it. Now go enjoy your day folks.
SOTD December 29, 2016 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick I1 injector Brush: Semogue 1520 boar Lather: Proraso White Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Barbasol Pacific Rush aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, XTG, XTG (cheeks only) Nice shave with this combination. It's been a while since I've used Proraso White. I love the ease of lathering, the budget price, and the nice little menthol touch, but I found it to be a middle-of-the-road soap for today's shave. The post-shave feel really left something to be desired. I guess I'm getting spoiled with better and better soaps. I did two passes and then an extra WTG on my cheeks. Smooth, comfortable shave in the end. I'll continue to use the Proraso off and on until it's finished but I don't think it will be one that I'll rush to replace. Have a great day!
