Thank you, Clint. I think the scent of each of these is among the best of the soaps I have tried. I like how long lasting they are, which makes skipping the AS a doable deal. I could smell myself for hours yesterday evening, and for once that was a good thing!

Thank you. I do think the black and polished aluminum make the brush pop.

    Homemade tangerine AS

Good morning friends, I just had a marvelous shave. First time using Route 66 soaps and man I wish I had tried them sooner. First of all the scent is amazing, it smells like a cranberry lemonade sweet tart. Kathleen really know how to make a great scent. The scent strength is awesome too, the whole bathroom was filled with that amazing sweet tart scent. Performance was outstanding as well, super slick protective thick creamy lather! Top notch all the way, post shave was excellent too, no need for a balm afterward. I am blown away with the quality of this soap, so happy right now! Have a great day my friends!

Glad you enjoy it! Had I been able to choose the Rte 66 from the raffle,. I'd have gone with the Cavendish, but I'll get it someday :).

I think you are correct Clint. I may have to rethink my Tuxedo in the Black & Gold Onyx handle.

    December 29 - soap encounters

Gillette Tech, preWar Canadian / Topaz Platinum (2)
    Supply Provision synthetic brush
    Kaloderma chamomile shaving cream
Alum and Thayers Witch Hazel Original

Tried the Kaloderma for a second day, this time with the Tech and Topaz blade. The result was every bit as good as yesterday's shave with the Rockwell 6s and IP blade. I used half as much cream today - a dollop the size of a large pea - and still ended up with more lather than I needed. The cream has a strong sweet herbal scent - it fills the bathroom with the smell of camomile. Good protection during the shave and leaves my face feeling like I have just used a good moisturizer lotion on it. For a cheap drugstore cream, this one is definitely a winner.

I love the Tuxedo in the Onyx handle. I was just noticing how much better the Tuxedo looks in this handle than the sunrise knot did.

    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    Route 66 Sweeney Todd
    Gillette Black Beauty
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Aqua Velva Musk AS

A much better shave than yesterday, although still not as smooth as with the Slim or Fatboy. The lather was great from Route 66 Sweeney Todd provided by @wristwatchb and @Salty Belle. The scent is terrific. I put the finishing touches on with some Aqua Velva Musk. I may not shave tomorrow as I am leaving in a few hours for a little duck hunting trip. I hope everyone has a great day!
