There are just 4 things I am waiting for atm - Tom's B-400 brush handle I won at the TSD raffle - a Tuxedo and a Cashmere knot for the B-400 - the preordered black General razor (supposedly ships in January) Other than that I want to cut back on acquisitions for the next few months and enjoy what I already have
Currently waiting for a Schick E injector from the Monty Hall PIF, a Rolls Razor from a trade, and my Secret Santa gift.
My secret santa gift showed up today, ten soap samples from Stirling. So with that and this order, I am ready for NB 17 (Software edition.)
And I won a custom straight from Osiris Blades. Here is a picture of a recent one he did with the scales type I am getting.
Not sure if I will get to pick it or not. If not, it will probably be a square tip or the barber's notch in that picture. If I am able to pick, I will ask for a Spanish or French point.
Very classy Don @Dzia Dzia ! I'm not familiar with many new razors. Is it a SE? The head looks like it would take an injector type blade.
It's an SE that takes Artist Club blades. It's being shipped with a blade sampler from Try-a-blade. I've got a Colonial General that will shortly be shipped also. The RX is stainless and the General aluminum. I've been wanting a couple modern CNC razors and with bonus and gifts it was possible.
Got to pick. Spanish tip, file work on the scales, lower jimps, and a partially dyed buckeye burl for the scales. Should have it before February.
If I'm not mistaken this will come from Broomfield CO. I thought I heard the name before but couldn't remember the name of the blades until this post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Correct. This is from Alfonzo Terrones in Bloomfield. He has been working on getting these razors where he is happy with them, and I think I am getting one of the first ones he is releasing into the wild.
I bought a few (5) straights from an older gent here in Colorado Springs who collected for years. He posted his over 300 straights on Craigslist and I saw it after it was up for 3 days. I was told of a guy from Broomfield was the first to scavenge the collection and I was the second. I was also told the guy makes razors and knives and I couldn't remember the name and your post brought it all together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Slid in one more software order in 2016. I have chatted with the owner of this company on FB, and love supporting a local vendor. Based on my order number, looks like I am his 5th customer. https://www.wheatstatesoaps.com/ I ordered the barbershop scent. I had told the owner I would order a soap once his site was up, so I'm glad he got it up before my No Buy 2017, software edition started.
