If that was in my house, I'd probably eat it thinking it was a bowl of ice cream! Nice photo and gear!

A truly wonderful shave this New Year day with the PAL Injecto-Matic. This Wickham shave soap made by my friend Darron is just outstanding. Excellent, slick, bountiful lather. A lovley, bold Citrus Musk scent that fills the room and awakens the senses. What a wonderful start to the morning. Three refreshing passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a wonderful day friends. Happy New Year! :)

I've once again amassed a variety of SEs I don't need so for fun I'll do an SE shave-off.

    *OCMM (L half of face)
    *Guiding Eye/bullet tip (R side)
    *same Gem teflon in both
    *Barbasol yellow stripe
    *Lucky Tiger a/s tonic

    2 pass DFS+

The OC feels better in the hand but left a few minor weepers. The Eye feels smoother on the face and more efficient (took down more beard with less work). Next shave I should swap sides to see if my right handedness matters. But for now, Guiding Eye wins.

    Route 66 Twisted Tweed
    Witch Hazel
    Myrsol F/Extra

I will be using Route 66 Twisted Tweed for the first part of the month in an effort to finish off the tub. The scent to me is of a light green fougere which I find very pleasing. Route 66 soaps in general are very easy to lather and tolerant of various amounts of water. So as expected the CH2 Synthetic easily whipped up the Twisted Tweed into a wonderful rich slick lather. Three passes and touch ups with the Timeless OC left me with a smooth and close shave. I finished up the shave with a splash of Myrsol F/Extra. I hope everyone has a fantastic New Year's Day.

That soap sounds good. I'm a sucker for green.

It's really a very nice soap. The scent is a light sporty crisp fougere as opposed to heavy or overbearing scent.

Mastro Livi Carbon Damascus Kamisori 5/8, French Point

First shave of 2017 and I thought I should have used my homemade products to start the new year the right way. It was also quite a long time I was not using a kamisori made by Mastro Livi and today I chose the first one he made for me about three years and a half ago. The shave was smooth and comfortable with a very close result, it delivered a super keen shave like the first time. After all, it is a well known fact kamisoris can give a super close shave despite they are harder to use than western style razors, including symmetrical kamisoris. Here in Perugia we have the sun high in the sky but it is however quite cold so I thought the best choice to finish the shave was my Bay Rum aftershave with its warm and spicy notes seemed to be perfect to this great shave. Happy new year to all!

If you get chance at some point, I definitely recommend trying Musco Real. It is one of my favorites. So much so that I have designated it as "Special Occasion" status, which I am trying to avoid now.
