1. Well, you should get the Cavendish then. It's superb! Just go on and get it....no need to wait! You won't regret it.
  2. Great scent. Look forward to all the scents I use over the month!

  3. question-you say she picked it. Wasn't it supposed to be up to the winner to choose, or did you just ask her to pick any one?
  4. Lathers very well also. Then again it's a Route 66 soap. They all lather very well. :happy088:
  5. Beautiful photo Doug. It's very cool that you were able to reknot your grandfather's brush.
  6. Thanks very much Mark.

  7. do you do poetry? lol...teasing. With the looooong winter here, I'll probably do an inventory of my stuff in a month or so. I'll see what's going on. But I do want to include Cavvy before the end of 2017. Probably wouldn't be a good warm-weather one, right?

  8. Can't help you there. I don't classify my soaps for the seasons. I just use what smells and sounds good.

  9. Thanks very much Clint. The handle was red and a cream color. It had most of the paint chopping off. It is a German made brush. Once I saw the wood I decided not to re paint it.

  10. ah ok..well, thjat is perhaps what one SHOULD do, but the humidity we get here seems to put too much sweat in the way of whatever aftershave I use.
  11. I should add to that that I don't "suffer" as much if I use Aqua Velva or Mennen Skin Bracer during the humid periods. That's why I want to try the Stirling Lemon Chill A.S. next summer.

  13. I was out of town until tonight and decided to mow off two days worth of whiskers. I'm going to enjoy his month as Route 66 is a pleasure to use with straight razors. I can make a thin slick lather that works great. What a nice way to wrap up a wonderful weekend.

A great shave is a very nice way to start the week. The Twisted Tweed was easy to whip into a great slick lather. Three passes and minimal clean ups ended in a fantastic smooth and close shave. A splash of Floid Blue and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

  18. Barbershop Hop is only of the scents I don't have a sample of. How would you classify it on the Barbershop scale? Powdery or more the other way?
