Shaved on 2nd Jan with a Claymore, felt heavy after using other SE razors, but shaved very well.24hrs on, beard regrowth quite sparse.

    Today's Shave: Monday January 2, 2017

The General w/West Coast Shaving 88B handle
Feather Artist Club Professional blade (5)
    Plisson synthetic brush
    Haslinger Schafmilch soap
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal aftershave

Today it was back to the 21st century with The General. The 88B handle from West Coast Shaving is made of solid stainless steel and adds considerable heft to the razor, making for a smooth, moderately aggressive shave.

Not to mention it looks way cool. :happy088:

Sorry, but no pictures to post this morning. I was running late.

However, I would like to say that the Ever Ready 1914 is possibly the best SE (non-injector) razor ever made! I used mine this morning and what a fantastic shave! BBS in two passes and does this razor ever sing! The audible feedback is incredible and it is such a comfortable shaver!

I haven't used this razor in quite awhile and I must have forgotten how good it really is.

@Bird Lives , what shaving genius designed this beauty?

Joseph Kaufman was the first President of the new American Safety Razor Co. which was the combining of GEM and Ever Ready and later Star, and Personna.... Joseph Kaufman picked August Scheuber's 1912 to be the flagship of the GEM line and he moved the 1909 to England and he invented the 1914 Little Lather Catcher. He applied for the patent in Feb of 1913. And your right....he was a genius...To think he just whipped that razor up to fit a certain demographic of the market. It was retro being a true lather catcher, and it was modern aswell. It was and is a perfect shaver. Everything about the design promotes feedback, audio aswell as vibrations from the head transmitted through the handle to your finger tips...The ER 1914 is a blast from the past, and I think, a must have for all serious shavers...but thats my opinion...YMMV...lol!

Bird, thanks for that info. I knew you would know. You've given me a bit more insight into this fantastic razor. I think I'll be using this baby a little more often now.

    Thanks!

    Blade
    : Chinese Schick
    Razor: Personna injector
    Brush: Jayaruh #60 synthetic
    Lather: Route 66 Cavendish
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Ozark Mountain Trail aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Well, the Personna injector worked out really well. I was really pleased with the shave. It doesn't have much weight or heft....in fact it's pretty light. But there was good auditory feedback and it was easy to find the angle. Nice shave in the end. I'll shave with it some more, of course, but I'm hoping my impression sticks. Tremendous lather and cushion from Route 66, by the way. That always helps for a great shave.

    Have a great day!

Sorry, just saw this. It was just too mild for me. It was disappointing, because I REALLY wanted to like it. It is just so cool looking.

Yes, it's quite mild, but that's okay for me as it helps avoid irritation. It certainly is a good lookin' razor!

After the shave from the Bunny the other day I was inspired to break out the Hussy. Another Wow! shave. The Hussy is quick, easy, and every bit as close as the Bunny or the PAL IM. An old flame has been rekindled. :love055:

Looks like I need to find some Twins to try in my new injector haul. Are the produced currently? Or are they only past production? I used one Twin in one of the pass-around razors but can't remember much about that particular shave.
