From the last couple of days: Tapering back a bit on my focus now that my 30 shaves are in, so getting a chance to use some of my lately neglected favorites. A couple of Schicks are very upset with me for passing them over, so I had better use one of them tomorrow. It is crazy that it was only a few months ago that I started a focus with injectors, and fell in love with the SE platform. Since then I think I could count on one hand the number of DE shaves I have had. Hope you all have a great day.
Shake Sharp with stabilized vintage Wilkinson Super Sword Edge blade. Flawless shave. I sold the Hawk and will pass on the General as well I think, I don't find myself reaching for them, preferring my standard width injectors and the Shakemonster for my head shave. Last shave with the C3 as I head home today. Forgot the PSO, and with the blade reaching the end of it's useful life, I got a few weepers. Otherwise, a 2 pass super close shave once again. Today's shave: Monday January 23, 2017 Colonial Razors General w/West Coast Shaving 78G handle Feather Artist Club Professional blade (12) Plisson synthetic brush Stirling Electric Sheep soap Pinaud Lilac Vegetal aftershave After an even dozen shaves the Feather Pro blade is still shaving BBS and close. I keep expecting to become bored with this razor, but it hasn't happened yet. Something about Stirling Electric Sheep shaving soap . . . --Bob
SOTD January 24, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick G8 injector Brush: Omega Hi synthetic Lather: Route 66 Sweeney Todd Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Stirling Piacenza, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up The G8 sails right along. Good shave this morning overall. A touch of irritation on my lower neck, but that's okay. That area is really sensitive. I'm really liking the G8 but am also anxious to get back around to some of my other injectors and SEs. Good times! Have a great day!
Tues 24th Jan. Not everyones favourite, but if you can use one they deliver a smooth comfortable shave, with a great finish. The PAL S/S Adjustable, they look good too.
SOTN January 23rd PAL Injecto-Matic C Schick (4) Stirling Executive Man Stirling 24mm Synthetic Crown King scuttle Homemade Tangerine AS Good morning friends. Last nights shave with the Pal IM was a little rougher then those I had before. I'm not sure if the blade is giving out a little prematurely or if I let the angle get too shallow but I had a little irritation on my neck and chin. No worries though my homemade aftershave which is witch hazel based and is loaded with other skin soothing ingredients cooled the irritation right down, followed up with a little Nivea ASB and my face was feeling smooth and hydrated once more.
