Do you know if Ever-Ready made brushes for Old Spice? My very first brush was from an Old Spice set (1963-64) which included brush, soap, mug and aftershave. I remember the brush looking like recent pictures I've seen of vintage Ever-Ready brushes.

Linuxguile, I have a 200T I'm going to do, I watch a utube video and the guy filled the handle with epoxy but he also put in steel balls for weight are you going to

I'm just going to fill it with epoxy, no additional weight.

So I did end up adding 12 pennies to the handle, not for additional weight specifically but because the epoxy didn't fill enough of the cavity without them. Now just waiting for the silicone to set and then to shampoo the knot and give it a test lather

Very nice restoration, that is one of my favorite style handles. One word of caution, a large amount of epoxy in a closed space can generate a lot of heat that can warp the handle.

I also like to use sandpaper to round off the sharp edge on the bottom, it makes the handle a littler more comfortable to hold.

    Pre-bloom:

So with the silicone adhesive set I shampooed the knot out and then set to do a test lather. I loaded La Toja for 10 seconds, this knot really picked up a lot of soap:

And bowl lathered until it got thick and creamy. [IMG]
    And finally a post-bloom shot:

I think I'm going to like this brush very much!

Superb, Andrew! You did a fantastic job on that brush! It really whips up the lather doesn't it? Good Show my friend!!!

Thanks Alan! the lather was so creamy, much more so then I usually get from my synthetics. Will put it to its first real use tonight!
