oh ok...well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad then(for me)....I don't know how to do the pics yet. Perhaps this can be my Project Of 2017.
I probably should have seen this coming, but my Barbasol Floating Head is done at the re-platers, so I may have to take a slight detour to my Focus this month, once it gets here. I am sure these pictures are much nicer than anything I will take, so I'll let these be the first impression:
I finally heard some "scraping" noise from my 65-slim(with the Wilkinson Sword blade in it)....I'll try it for a bit tomorrow, but finish with the disposeABLE if I need to.
WOW! absolutely stunning. and I'm sure that plate job will last much longer then the original. What kind of back log does Sport Shaving have for plating jobs ? it seems impossible to find a good plater that isn't on a multi-month wait list.
Basically everyone here is trying to improve on a skill set, or learn something about products/equipment they own. So the SOTD commentary is generally related to a persons focus, or shenanigans.
Thank you, Andrew. He originally quote me 4-6 weeks to get done, and he got the razor on January 9th. So, he basically did it in about three weeks. It definitely looks better than it did when I sent it too him. Also, just to clarify (in case some were wondering), I committed to this late last year, we just took a week or two to work out the details. I still consider myself good on NB17.
already did....by "scraping" I meant, I'm beginning to hear the cutting sound I should be hearing in the first place. Experimentation will continue.
This is the un-hijackable thread. Some people post both here and the SOTD thread, some post only here. I don't do the same level of discussion on other threads as I do here, and am much less likely to dare someone to shave with something that could hurt them on other threads.
Your comment sets up a good plan for me....I'll do the SOTD in , but leave the relative prose for this thread.
