  3. I'll have to take your and Neal's words for it. A classic 'Crat is on my long term wish list, but I don't see getting one anytime soon.

Not much to say about tonights shave. The more of these I rack up, the more they slowly start to feel sort of natural. Sometime in the last five shaves or so, things have just started to click into place.

Two shaves is all I want out of one of these half blades. It was at the point when I finished, that it was getting tuggy ATG. Not so dull you couldn't buff your way along with a DE, but at this point in my little adventure, I want a SHARP blade. That tugging is dangerous. I have a couple of scars that may or may not fade away, to prove it.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

  7. Well it took 6 rounds of 5 minute soaks in the Oxyclean with rinsing and lathering up some dawn in between but finally the brush doesn't smell like a badgers butt anymore. Thanks for the tips gents.

  8. La Toja is a great soap. It is probably my favorite shave stick, and you are right, it just impresses.

  11. Excellent photo. It is so crystal clear.
  12. Thank you Jared! :happy088: Have a good weekend!
  13. Fantastic picture, Mark!
  14. That easy? I should go see a guy about a $6 Slim I passed up.

It is Paul. I'm thinking about getting the Tabac AS and/or EDT. For now the Pinaud pairs well. Eight hours later I still catch a bit of the S.R. scent.

I saw a nearly full bottle of Avon (Crisp?) Lime AS today. It smelled OK, but I'm holding out for either vintage OldSpice Lime or the Stirling you recommended.
  15. HAZMAT regulations require The Veg to be stored and transported in approved and properly labeled containers. :happy102:
  16. It is quickly rising through the ranks for me. It leaves me with the best face feel of any soap I have. I have oily skin, and something about it (perhaps the mineral content) helps to neutralize some of that. The scent isn't strong, which is usually a negative for me, but it is so darned PLEASANT that I keep wanting to come back to it. I may end up doing a mini La Toja focus with my SE focus this month.

  20. My impression; use more product.
I see a bowl/scuttle in your first photo. The second photo looks like you got some soap on the packaging & the brush. Not much lather happening yet.
I have a similar brush & puck of ColConk Lime I'll pull out for tomorrows shave.
Not trying to suggest you spend more money, but... It's a glycerin based soap. Some folks like it. There are others that cost less and lather easier. (Arko!)

It must be your skin I'm sinking in
It must be for real 'cause now I can feel
    And I didn't mind
    It's not my kind
It's not my time to wonder why

    Everything's gone white
    And everything's gray
Now you're here now you're away
    I don't want this
    Remember that
I'll never forget where you're at

Don't let the days go by
