  1. Thanks, Paul, for the encouragement!
  2. The Wee Scot would sure do it. Holy cow for a small knot. 14mm. I had a Simpson Classic 1 synthetic in the small tube that I carried around most of last year. It was as small as I would ever want to go, but that's just me. There are lots of people who use Wee Scots regularly, and just LOVE them.

You should get one and let us know.
  3. There's a few others of us that use the Pinaud line. Osage Rub is quite popular!
  4. I like my Clubman stuff:
    Clubman Pinaud
    Lilac Vegetal (Vegemites, unite!)
    Special Reserve
    Citrus Musk
    Osage Rub
    Styptic pen
    Lathering shave cream

  5. Well, we also have the puzzle of 31 day months. So I suppose we can say that the extra two days needed in February are actually just used in January and March. Can't help you on the extra days in May, July, August and October.
  6. A wee Scot would sure do it? That's what she said.
  7. Fatboy February!!!!!

    February 11
    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Post - Alum

Turning the Fattie up to 9 with the Bic and away we go! I'm enjoying all of these shaves with Tabac for a bit. I had ignored it for awhile and it's been a nice few days of remembering why it's in my top few soaps. Really fantastic lather and scent. Makes it extra easy to knock out BBS's on 9 in a row as well.

First pass tonight was smooth, as the Bic always is. Second pass the same. No difference in feel and after two full passes and a bit of touchup I managed to coax the baby into the room yet again. I'm quite impressed with how this razor works and even more impressed that the earlier irritation from the Feather (which wasn't as bad as it can be) has given up and left the alum quite calm tonight. Very nice shave, great result, and that leaves just one more day of these 3/9 shaves. The Sharp Star is up tomorrow for the final Russian in the rotation. I'm eager to get it loaded and give it its two days.

The following announcement is for those who have been trying to enable me into trying some different soaps, particular Stirling. Due to my strong will, high moral character, and wannabe Russian toughness, while I appreciate your efforts, I am immune to your suggestions. I want to establish that because when the three samples of Stirling I ordered arrive in a few days I don't want you to think that any outside enabling had any effect on my decision. It was mine. All mine. And simply for the purpose of giving the soap a fair trial. Nice try, but enable elsewhere. That is all.

    Have a great weekend!

  8. What, no VIBR? Are you insane man?(shakes head and walks off muttering)
  9. You can't just toss that out there without elaborating. What 3 did you order?
  10. The three that I intend to try. :happy068:

  11. Ok, that last answer is out of my system.

    Bay Rum, Sandlewood, Barbershop
  12. Three solid choices. I've never tried the sandalwood, but have the other 2. Once the Stirling opens your horizons, you should give Soap Commander a try.
  13. See, there goes that enabling thing again. And I've already demonstrated it has absolutely no effect on me. Nope, none at all. (note to self - find soap commander website) I don't know why you guys insist on even trying.
  14. It's gonna be great!
  15. Value Focused February
    Day Eleven

Original Barbasol, Y'all! Good stuff for the value minded shaver, classic barber shop kinda scent and that slick Barbasol lather, automatic, every time! Voskhod on nine for the two pass excellence...I should probably use the FB more! Very smooth irritation free shave today. Alum was great. The AS is from Slovenia, it's called Barbus, and it's basically a Slovenian Aqua Velva. Even imported it was only a few bucks. Just rocked the Fender, electric blues style, for about 90 minutes of twelve bar variations various keys. Other than 100w of overdriven Fender goodness...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a superb Sunday!

  16. Sweet vintage mic!
  17. I have a mic like that with a small pig nose amp for those days I feel like pulling my harpoon out of my dirty red bandana.
  18. Me, neither. Not a fan of cloves scent.

None of my local shops stock Citrus Musk or Lime Sec...yet.

  19. I think I will just pull the pin and toss this to @NCoxSTL ...
  20. You may have located my next wife for me. Nothing wrong with some sexy muscled up Russian goodness. Definitely a step above the Cold War era East German "women". The only thing you always have to remember about Russian girls is their shorter shelf life.
