Anyone Else A Night Shaver?

I've never been a big fan of shaving in the morning before work. I always felt rushed since my wife and I share one bathroom. Plus, dragging a razor blade across my throat at 4:30AM, when I'm groggy and inattentive doesn't sound like the best plan, haha. Wet shaving to me is almost zen-like. It is my chance to zone out and focus on something for about 20 minutes. Letting my mind relax and unwind.

I prefer to shave at the end of the day. Once I'm home from work, dinner is cooked, all the chores are done - I take a nice, hot shower and get myself prepped. Now, the bathroom is completely mine, everything is done for the day, and I sit back whip up some creamy lather and enjoy my little hobby.

Also, I use 100% Pure Rosehip Seed Oil as an aftershave balm, which can make myself look a little shiny, lol. This gives my face the chance to absorb the oil and relax for a few hours while I sleep. I wake up with a silky smooth and irritation free face everytime.

Anyone else happen to exclusively shave at night?

 

Not exclusively.
I do on occasion break out the gear for a relaxing evening shave.
Usually this arises if I have a pre-dawn morning start and thus an evening shave makes practical sense.

 

Generally, I have worked jobs that required me to get up really early in the morning, so I am usually relegated to nights, but I just switched up careers. I am now going to have the opportunity a leisurely morning shaves. I am not going to know what to do with myself.

 

I was a night shaver for about 10 years, but switched over to morning shaves because I didn't like 5 o'clock shadows by noon. My daily weekday shaves happen by 4:15am.

I have been known to do an evening shave on occasion on the weekends.

 

Back before I retired, I was an evening shaver. It made my morning routine less rushed. Now, I enjoy the morning shave.

 

Yup. 2nd shifter here and not a morning person, so I always shave when I get home from work, after I take a shower. Its a nice to way to decompress after a hard day of work.

 

I almost exclusively shave at night. Mornings are too rushed.

I primarily shave in the evening, unless I have an important meeting during the day. I shave in the mornings on the weekend.

 

I only shave at night. Never in the morning. I usually wait till everybody goes to bed and then I shave. It's my time.

 

nights only for me too,watch the new paul h etc, beer or 3,me time,try out what the mailman sent,all hobby.

 

I can shave every 24 hours, but a 36 hour rotation works out better. You know how good it feels if you skip a day and have that heavy stubble?
So mornings, evenings? Sure!

 

Since I, too, have to be up by 0430, I shave in the evening. Much more pleasant to be able to spend 20 minutes (or more) with a sink full of hot water, a badger, and a vintage razor.

 

you bet,tried every day a couple of times,far better with a day or 2s growth.razors seem to work better.

 

I'm retired so I have all day to shave. I usually shave late afternoons, around 3:30 - 4:00 pm. I shave almost every day.

I shave when I get the chance, but I often work evenings, so that chance frequently happens at night after work.

If you ever look at my SOTD time signatures, most of them happen from 11pm-2am.

 

I shave at night 99.9% of the time. After everyone else is in bed and my wife is reading or searching pintrest for my next project, I take a nice shower and shave. I work from home most days and the 1 day a week I don't I'm out of the house by 5 am. The 4 days I start my day at home I roll out of bed around 6:30 and start work by 7. I'm not a morning person, my alarm is set for 6am.

I dont get up early enough in morning to shave so I take my time and do it after my night shower.

 

late evening for me as I am in work for 6am (Not that I need to shave for my work) also with using striaghts and honing my own, I tend to hone in evenings and test them afterwards.
