Nice 2 pass shave. The lather from PPF is a bit strange, a cottage cheese consistancy when first starting to make a lather, but it does smooth out when more water is added. The single Ring was not as forgiving as it was with the last shave. Did end up with some irritation, finished off with Local Gent Anubis balm.

MONDAY SHAVE

Post: Ogallala lime & peppercorn aftershave


Very happy with the results from today's shave. The LG soap made a perfect lather, and the menthol from the pre shave mixed well with the coffee coconut scent. Ended up getting a super smooth BBS shave and finished off with a splash of Ogallala. Hope everyone had a great shave!

The Col. Conk Amber Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #104 silvertip badger brush. I did two passes the Gillette Fatboy and Wilkinson Sword Super Sword blade, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Day two with the Eclipse to see how it handles light growth. In a word...Spectacularly! Paired up it with PAA's Dirt and felt almost human this morning. I've got the crud again...

@Bama Samurai made the bold statement that the Gillette Fatboy is a BBS machine on 9. Tonight was the completion of a run through some blades to test that theory. Starting with the Gillette 7 o'clock Black, on through the Voskhod, GSB, Bic CP, and Feather, it has indeed lived up to that billing. In the case of the Feather, it hit BBS on 3. The Sharp Star has its turn on 9 tonight and the atmosphere is electric with anticipation! Oh, wait, that was a bulb burning out. Anyway.........

Semogue and Tabac for a fine lather and the usual two passes and touch up. Finished with alum which was mostly quiet, nothing out of the ordinary. Added some Nivea Original just to enjoy it. The result? The baby is sleeping soundly and all is well. Yep, that guy out in Colorado with the funny southern accent doesn't lie. A true BBS machine.

Back to Grand Blade Trials tomorrow with the Fatboy. The Crown Platinum from Egypt is up for testing and it may be a real test of the BBS theory. I haven't been especially impressed with Lord blades of any shape or color. Have a great evening and a better tomorrow! Oh, and if you haven't bought a Valentine gift for your better half yet......my advice.........look her in the eye and in all sincerity tell her you decided to wait and surprise her on another day rather than just participate in a mass commercial enterprise that won't mean nearly as much.
