I have the West Lime AS. Didn't know about the soap. Will have to check it out. Glad you liked it.

I am somewhat new to TSD. I'm afraid I don't know all the terminology yet. What exactly is the knot referring to? lol

The knot is the hair/bristle/fiber part of the brush. When you see them referred to as a 24mm knot for example, it is 24mm wide at its base where it is held together. Loft is the height.

ok then. thank you. After a little research, it is a Parker Silvertip Deluxe Olive wood and Chrome handle. 1" knot, 2.25" loft.

I am so sorry for the confusion. My post followed yours, but I was replying to an earlier post (it was in quotes) made by a member named Guy.

That is a fine brush you have though, too. Thank you for going to the trouble for me.

This is a very, very good HMW knot from Zenith. Nice and dense but blooms like a mushroom cloud. A very good buy at $39 or that is what they cost last week when I was on RR site. Highly under rated brush for the quality you get. Also have the 28mm RR and two zenith Manchurian brushes and all of them are a great bang for the buck brush.

Well...today's choice would've probably been a better choice for menthol Monday...but it's been so long since I have pulled the Proraso Green out of my cabinet, I just said "Yep, thats the ticket!" So for today, Tuesday...

Happy Valentine's Day and from the reading I've done here today it sounds like a lot of you had a good day. Mine was consumed partly by a Dr. appointment but I did get in a nice lunch with my own Valentine. Then fixed a toilet this evening. Don't tell me it hasn't been a day filled with absolute romance. I got my better half a Mantis Tiller which she has been wanting for two years. Hey, it isn't a box of chocolates but it is red and her reaction was better than diamonds and much cheaper!

Grand Blade Trial night with the Crown Platinum. This is a Lord produced blade in Egypt so I'm hopeful it will be good but not assuming anything. Using the Fatboy in place of the Slim since it's Fatboy February and the gaps match. Exposure differences shouldn't skew things too much. Three passes to a DFS and it's nothing spectacular at 3 on the razor. Audible feedback, effective enough not to be maddening. Kind of a "meh" shave but sometimes those are the best you can get. We'll see what 6 does for it tomorrow.

For those of you who are married or have a significant other this was hopefully a great and successful Valentine's Day. For those of you still searching for a Valentine, not sure if the following method is recommended.....but I bet it's foolproof! Have a great night!

Was not sure about this Razor, until I changed the original handle to this nice Chunky one. Have also taken the plunge and am using Feather Pro. Though there is distinct blade feel , provided you take take care with feather light touch the finished result is first class. One of those Face Stroking days- that good.
